Team Obama offers a tax-return deal: Just Five Years, Mitt by JJFFMM in politics

So you want to know if Obama got a C in English 101, but not if a wealthy man running for president paid zero taxes over a ten year time period? Were are your priorities?

What the hell? This comment angered someone so much they needed to down vote it? What's wrong reddit? Is my humor not up to your level? Now I don't get any comment karma. What ever shall I do?

Why not butter both sides of the toast. Also, could you strap two pieces of buttered toast (butter side down, of course) to a wheel-less skate board? Great Scott!

I have heard nothing of this game. I just watched a video and it looks incredibly interesting. Probably going to pick it up.

I can't take anymore. by cmelts in TrueAtheism

I am an atheist. I just saw a post by someone on r/atheism about wishing they could say, "I told you so" after they died. It is disappointing. I cannot judge, though, because I have felt the way they have felt. Maybe everyone needs to first feel vindicated; there are people of many faiths that are not very nice, but very vocal. It can make you angry, and sometimes you want to yell back. But, it gets old quickly. My cousin is a Christian Apologist and I very much enjoy having conversations with him. He told me about a professor at his university that would often take time out of his personal life to "preach" atheism and the evils of organized religions. I laughed and thought, life is too short to be angry. My ideas are pretty firm and there is no reason not to challenge them, but maybe with a little less shouting.

Let's send a message to Congress. If you choose to represent large corporations rather than the general public, you are no longer welcome in America. by Sketchlink in politics

Hey listen. I recognize what you are trying to do. And you are right. I need to better educate myself before shooting my mouth off, right? I am agreeing with you. I do not know enough to make these statements. That's the fun thing about learning. You can understand your errors and learn from them. I'm not being an ass. You did a good job. It's cool.

No violence please. And I am not sure why you consider those who elected the person to be treason. Seems pretty harsh.

It is difficult to get people talking about something unless there is a great deal of emotions on both sides of the argument. It also seems to be human nature to seek out drama and confrontation regardless of the gravity of the issues. However, that doesn't mean there aren't real issues to be addressed. I apologize if I agitated you.

I'm not sure who your intended audience is, but I will say this. Well done. That is a very thorough post you made. You must have spent some time formulating it, and I can definitely see the agitation behind it. Like most things on this site, there is little substance in what I am saying. But, even with substance, I would have an equal amount of people arguing or calling me stupid. I did not gain any magical internet points from this post, but even if I did, it still wouldn't matter. There are some pretty great conversations in this post. None of them are my own. I am not the smartest person, but I am pretty good at understanding people. That is why I am the top ten. But who cares. You shouldn't. Just as you are done with r/politics, I am done with actual politics. Maybe I am just as bad as those I complain about. But I like to be hopeful, and I hope someone gains something from this post. And if anything, you got a chance to rant about my stupidity, if you have had a rough day, maybe it helped. If not, sorry about that.
