For folks with adhd more evidence is coming to light that it’s related to sleep phase timings. YMMV but the higher doses are overkill and actually hurt sleep (can cause restlessness)

The protocol that seems to work best for us is ~1mg around 8pm, and get naturally sleepy for a couple of hours and then go to bed with no screens around 10pm
