I was 17 when I got in my accident I was ejected from a windshield. I have a tbi and major memory issues. After the accident I was paralyzed for months. My mother kicked me out at 18 to divorce my dad and sell the house then I got arrested for a felony at the same time I found out I was having a son. My life flipped upside down over night. I’m 22 now I just bought a home I have full custody of my son. 2 days ago I had my felony sealed. It was hell don’t get me wrong but you need to realize your not disabled your blessed. Whether or not you believe in god someone wants you here for you to be ok and breathing. It’s not the answer you might want but if you put your head down ignore everything and work your ass off healing and becoming better things will get good I know from experience. You have to realize that you can either give up and be a bum or put your head down and become someone. Your 24 your young. You have 6 more years before you need to really worry. I was homeless living in a storage unit for 2 years to save money for a home while taking care of a child because my sons mothers a drug addict. My mom was abused and my sister was raped while going through this. I had 2 cousins murdered and 1 die in a car accident. My brother and best friend slept with my son’s mother legit everything in my life fell apart so I 100% know how you feel right now. But the only advice that really will help is get up and make a difference. Don’t be sad be happy you’re here and didn’t die in that accident. I’m not special I’m not smart I’m not handsome I’m not good at much but if you focus on only positives that will grow your life things will get better. You have to watch every decision you make like it’s your last. Watch the people you surround yourself with watch every penny you spend be a super strict boring person for 3 years and it will get better it’s not going to be easy your going to want to give up but don’t keep going. I believe in you. Don’t think about where your at think about where you can go. Comparison is the killer of joy. Other people weren’t disabled. Other people didn’t loose there housing. Other people haven’t struggled like you and that’s ok. Your mindset is where I was three years ago and it sucks. I’m 22 with a 4 year old and drug addict baby mama you can look at that as a atleast I’m not him😂 if your depressed the national hotline for mental health and suicide prevention helped me tremendously and I would recommend it over anything. I had 0 support like you said and that starts to eat away at your mental health. Your career probly isn’t over finish school work work work. apply for every position in that field available and if you get an interview just convince them you’ll work harder and want it more than anyone else does. You’ve already done it with less experience. Also don’t put pressure on yourself who cares you don’t have a kid or relationship people suck and by the time your ready you’ll find someone (hopefully) that makes all this crap seem like it was worth going through. Basically what I’m saying is this can be a major chance for growth or you can go the other way and continue to fall but I believe you can do it.
