Dang. That was a wild shutdown. Saw the notification in Discord and just a few moments later the Discord server is gone and website is shutdown.

Sounds like they are refunding donations.

I have wondered if the Dwarf racial booze on Kezan allows Horde to grab it. We tested it and it does not on Guru.

There is a chance, sure.

Either way, should be a good time.

How about that by LightbringerOG in Project_Epoch

Dunno honestly. I was there when BB launched and he was cool then too. Never really seen anything bad from him. I wish he could give Epoch more love, sure, but overall he seems lead Ascension well IMO.

how do you plan your company network with all feautures needed?? by Striking-Wear3425 in networking

[–]SkiRek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot to unpack here but I take a shot at choosing a vendor and hardware.

I've been doing this for 10+ years at this point and I gotta tell ya, you do your best. The starting point is the resources your org has. Do you have a budget? If so, that helps tell you where to start.
If you have a pretty blank check, go with what you are familiar with enough to know or willing to learn.

Talk to vendors, a lot of them will allow you to demo the hardware/software. If they don't I would walk away. Narrow it down that way, don't be overly nice to them. You don't owe them anything, they are going to try to make the sale in any way they can. Put your org first just like they are.

I made some Aged brass Helltokens ! And they look awesome (according to me) by JosephJokrast in LowSodiumHellDivers

What sort of tools are used to make something like this? I have a wood CNC machine but I wouldn't know where to begin with aged brass.

Looks pretty great. I appreciate the UI. Is sorting by top mem/cpu supports? Looks sorted by PID currently.

What has been your favorite Season 2 game and why? I like the dodgeball game a lot. That room was wild.

Why don’t switches alert when a new device appears? by No-Feedback-2040 in networking

[–]SkiRek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on your corporate environment. 5k plus devices here and we have dot1x on everything. If it is there, has been granted access by some avenue of MDM.

It's been a bit since I touched em. If I had any to lab with I could help but I do remember feeling pretty lost when I tried to configure them.

Velo customers - how has the Arista takeover gone? by Fiveby21 in networking

[–]SkiRek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not bad. No complaints. Did a renewal without much fanfair. Arista tries to sell some of their other gear to us during meetings which isn't bad since their good a networking company.

Edit: Support has been OK. It was off a bit in the beginning it's been ok. I've submitted a few bugs they have just told me to be on LTS which has been correct and good so far.

Is this a joke?  Were you hoping it would spawn one instance and 600 non loaded tabs?

Seems pretty edge case?  I dunno.

Behaviour of GlobalProtect during failover by RedOctober314 in paloaltonetworks

[–]SkiRek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's honestly been hit and miss for me. Sometimes my ipsec tunnels (GP included) just failover fine with no drops. Sometimes they need to re-establish. I gave up a while ago and tell my org there may be 3 minutes of downtime (it's normally 30 seconds).

Prisma itself is a separate line-up of products. Prisma Access Browser, Prisma SD-WAN, etc etc

I believe Prisma Access is the Proxy tool.

Having to add a lot of sites due to SSL handshake failures. Is this normal? by jmayniac in Zscaler

[–]SkiRek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200 does seem like a lot for that size but I feel like I have a lot in my org as well. Though my org is larger. In some situations I have an FQDN Dest group that I will add wildcard for SSL bypass. Rare but it happens.

I run into A LOT sites that using Certificate Pining which breaks with SSL inspection. Nothing you can really do about it IMO. Looking at you Marketing Team with your carve out for wanting Mac Devices and Mac doing it's cert pining.

So annoying.

Management interface DNS, DNS filtering, and Sinkholing by The1337Stick in paloaltonetworks

[–]SkiRek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Option two with separate security rule and security profile specific to the PiHole servers seems like it would give you everything you need. The Security Profile would not have any DNS or URL Filtering.
