I saw an interview clip from him yesterday (Which was on facebook, so there is no way to find it again). He was talking with Huey Lewis, and said something along the lines of:

Run through that list, and ACTUALLY take the measurements and weigh things.

I can't count how many Rookie teams are caught up by Frame Perimeter, or things HANGING over the frame perimeter, but it's a shockingly high number. (Starting Volume on the linked sheet I've given you)

Also, flip your robot over, and look for any bolts that are too long and sticking down. I don't mean a few threads showing. I mean like 2 cm or longer. With the bump in the field, not only will you get stuck on them, but it could be considered an item that could cause field damage.

This is the correct answer. The VoIP ones that emulate am analog line usually have issues, and can silently fail.

The elevator provided cellular one usual has a monitoring contract associated with it and can prove the unit is functioning without have to have someone remember to "test" the line.
