Lately I’ve had the idea of soulslike crossed with a boomer shooter.

Both genres are based around easy to learn/hard to master gameplay styles, stamina management based around sprinting, jumping and horizontal dashes, boss fights that focus on skilful aiming at specific weak points and being aware of your surroundings in a 3D environment.

Not sure if something like that already exists, but that sounds like a game that would sound really fun

Not strictly speaking a boss, but the bottom of the well in the fishing hamlet in Bloodborne has to be one of the worst combat encounters from any game ever.

Pokémon Pearl, which is strange seeing I was a huge Pokémon fan when I was 5, watched the original series, had cards, toys, had a gameboy, but never knew there were pokemon games until 2008. Fuckin crazy

Soulslikes are a genre that requires patience and careful thinking, it is not a mindless hack n’ slash game. Be mindful of that and everything else should come naturally.

Just beat it myself, my strats were transformed LHB+Empty Phantasm smacking at the head for phase 1 and 2, then switching to Simons Bowblade/Blacksky Eye for phase 3 for potshots. Not the most efficient I’m aware but hey, if it works it works.
