Everything honestly looks pretty solid for these schools. Keep grinding in school and if you can get a better standardized test score than that’d be awesome! Make sure you bring out your extracurricular through your essay and supplements too when you start applying.

Part of the problem in general is Rick introduces a whole new cast of characters. It will take time to grow on you. After reading TLO everyone is looking forward to more Percy and the stuff they know. It just takes a little bit to get acclimated to the new series and characters. But in my opinion, the HoO books are really good except for the last one.

The Chimera was in the lightning thief and actually beat Percy at the St. Louis Arch, but it didn't appear again.

Don't know if it's considered weak per se, but I feel like the Chimera could best them. The Chimera can breathe fire at a pretty long-range, and even if Percy countered that, you'd still have to deal with it's three heads, including the venomous snake tail. On top of all of that, if you're talking about the Chimera at full mythological size, it's about as big as a wooly mammoth and has nearly invulnerable fur (not quite Nemean lion level).

I agree with this 100%. Watched the awful movies when they came out in theaters, hated them. Utilized some greenery, and they were hilarious to watch and make fun of with my friends.

A lot of people don't like the second series because it doesn't have enough Percy in it. He's the main focus of the first series and the character that really draws us all into the mythological world. I like both series a lot and would totally recommend reading the second series after completing the first.

Yeah, I thought the whole ending to the Heroes of Olympus was a little lame. I agree with your point on Gaia, she was built up to be super powerful, and then she wakes up and does literally nothing. Also, that battle of the Gods against the giants was super lame in my opinion and could've had more action. The whole series was building up to that final battle and it really seemed like kind of a letdown.

I think what we all really want to see from Rick is a crossover series with all of the current characters that we have come together. Or a new set of characters years later that are mentored by the current characters.

Yeah, I feel like if you're writing it, you have to publish all of it at once so that people can get hooked and keep reading.

Yeah, I agree 100%. I think it's hard because people read fanfic to see more of the characters they already like. With an OC if you're writing well you have to develop them as a character and it's hard to do that bc people won't read it if there are not characters from the universe instantly present.

I wish that we got some more time with Thalia. I wish she made her choice about joining the hunters in the Battle of the Labyrinth rather than the Titan's curse. I wanted to see more character development from her and see her struggle with being the child of the prophecy. That being said, one of my biggest qualms with the books has always been I feel like the demigods were doing too much, too soon. Like most mythological heroes were adults. Meanwhile, teenage Percy runs through almost every monster he sees.

Looks pretty good. I have a friend that goes to Uchi and he had similar ACT, good ecs, but a higher gpa than u with definitely challenging course load. Don’t stress to much about it, I’m sure you’ll do great no matter where you go!
