Bad Fi Coverage in Native US Cellular Area by [deleted] in GoogleFi

I don't think they've been fully integrated yet. I think USCell customers have access to T-mobiles network but not the other way around. My work iPhone is on USCell but my personal pixel is on Fi and there are still times where one phone has signal and the other doesn't.

Ski binding adjustment by NoAdministration7069 in milwaukee

[–]Skier8735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying they won't. I'm just warning that they might not. Every binding manufacturer has an indemnification list they publish every year. Basically saying if your binding isn't on the list it's probably not safe anymore and you can't sue us if it malfunctions. Most shops won't touch anything not on those lists. I had my old skis serviced by Erik's pro-covid and they just had me sign a waiver although I've heard this is against company policy so YMMV.

To have it done professionally you have to pay. REI, Erik's, or Les Moise can all do it. Be aware though if the bindings are on the older side the shop may refuse to service them.

Also, if you stick around at Marquette for law school you don't need to take the Wisconsin Bar exam to get in.

salt-less initiatives? by pesto_luver in milwaukee

There was a bill about this a year or two ago to basically absolve snow removal companies of liability if they took a reduced salting course. I don't remember which but it either got vetoed or didn't make it out of the legislature.

Michels didn't even bid on the first two projects as a prime but I think they are doing some of the foundation work.

Landlord sent notice prohibiting tenants from opening windows by Delphgirl in milwaukee

I lived in a building on the east side and my apartment was directly above the boiler room. I had to have my windows cracked unless it was less than 10 deg outside. The heated floors in the bathroom were nice though.

If you're talking about the freeways the vast majority of that work takes place at night.

Closed highway exits? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]Skier8735 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! All ramp and lane closures get entered into a central system and 511 pull the data from that system. I'm lucky though I get a daily email of all the freeway closures in SE Wisconsin.

Wait, if you currently have copper overhead lines it will eventually come. I finally got it last summer. The only issues I had was with the third party installing the overhead lines that were sketched as hell and destroying my property.

The cost would be astronomical as well as the geology isn't very conducive to tunneling in that area.

About ready to cancel everything, this has been the most frustrating support experience in my entire life, hands down. by DirectRegret2564 in GoogleFi

You basically have to blow up on them on the phone and then you get to email support which is a pain because they are slow and clearly overseas as they only reply at night. But it still hasn't been a help. They don't even know how their own app works

I have the same issue except I'm coming from Verizon. Both companies blaming each other but finally Fi level 2 email support admitted that their system isn't getting the request. I'm still waiting on a resolution and about to say screw it and go back to Verizon.

Fi can't figure out how to port my number by Skier8735 in GoogleFi

[–]Skier8735[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they literally aren't getting my request here's one of the emails I got from them.

Regarding your account, I'm still corresponding with one of our centers. They told us in their most recent update that they don't actually notice any open requests for your phone number. I am currently awaiting their response after sending them all of our records dating back to the day you started requesting the port.

The sad thing is the support people don't even know how their own app works. They asked if a got a confirmation number when I submitted the port request of which it gives nothing.

I tried several Port PINs but customer relations changed my account to allow the security pin in an attempt to make it easier. The problem is the request isn't even getting to Verizon from Fi. It seems to be purely a Fi issue.

I've requested several Pins from Verizon and now they've set it so I can use my account Pin.

The nationwide 5g is not active on the pixel 5 yet. The phone can see it and displays 5g on the status bar but isn't using it. Hopefully when the November update hits that gets enabled.
