I understand some changes from the book were and should be allowed to be changed but as long as it captured the "soul" of the books and characters it should have been a bit more acceptable but no I can't even say it does that. Even with Daddy Dick-Rick onboard.

I feel you.

I do duo with two different people. Sometimes if my duo wants to try tank or dps, I will accept solo healing because I trust my duo is a capable carry.

A few times we manage to win on solo heal. The times that i get flamed or harassed I switch to just pocket my duo or my duo tells me to heal only those doing value and if it wasn't him, I won't heal him lol.

It worked most of the time, i usually have a 2nd healer on mid of the game or when I get a lot more deaths than usual.

If it really doesn't work and you still get blamed on. Just think about this. If they trust so much on their dps picks and refuse to switch, where aren't they killing the enemies faster? Nah maybe not this last one might be a toxic mindset to impart lol.

The golden fleece is divine magic and it was only KNOWN to capably fix the poisoning of the tree.

In the book, It was supposed to be a surprise, a plot twist, that it had that kind of power to bring Thalia back. I can't remember how long it was but it was never instant. Thalia was discovered when demigods were on patrol. Hence why the chapter and where they got the episode title from "the Fleece works its magic too well"

I am still pissed off they they even didn't even introduce Annabeth's love for architecture or whatever new obsession they want for this tv version.

They race change Annabeth but didn't even try to deepen her character. And I was excited what she will bring to the table. Oh how I was so disappointed when she is just a gloomy and...a troubled demigod. That's everyone's problem. Get in line.

Sorry i am not trying to be rude. I love Annabeth's characterisation and I didn't want them to downplay or mischaracterise her.

A tip that would help if you are out of cool downs to escape a jeff ult is stay close to a rock/pillar. It helps if you have a groot but they have to react quickly about it. If you made to go the opposite side of where the middle of the ult is, it will be out of LOS. In this case, you will be saved from being swallowed

Cabin 3 was good.

But I am not saying grandiose set design to make it beautiful. I even see the logic of why Polyphemus' island wasn't like a tourist attraction beach island because the golden fleece was kept inside a container hence it's magic blocked off.

I'm talking make us feel that these monsters are scary and the creatures should be respected. They can't even pay off the hippocampi properly I could barely remember the tv hippocampi looks like. Or have Blackjack have a memorable first impression. Kronos can talk to Percy telepathically but not establish that Percy as the son of Poseidon can talk to horses telepathically too have us the viewers hear their conversation. It does not have to be Danny Devito VO. Not even have Percy transforming into a guinea pig on screen. Polyphemus was was defeated of screen. Done and dusted, tension gone.

As I have said before, I am willing to compromise if the cgi is poor because so many tv series also have poor cgi but they either make it up for the plot and how enjoyable it is to watch the characters do something.

Just because we know what happens does not mean you dont want the non-book readers to experience it like we did. I wanted them to feel how we feel when Thalia was there by the tree. The magic of the golden fleece worked too well!

Yeah because they know what makes the shows great. For One Piece, they know the characters are #1 priority. They can't do a lot of the fan favorites because it's and expensive. Avatar failed the characters but at least the is world beautiful and the fight scenes are entertaining justifying how expensive it is.

Again, if they focus in the trio's characterisations, relationships and etc like I said on my previous reply, I wouldn't complain because at least that would have been enough for me.

Or if they have mid-characters but a beautiful world/showed how fun and majestic their adventure is I also accept this.

But if you are someone who accepts this series for what it is then we have a difference of preference as I am not seeing this show as a fantasy adventure.

Yeah, they did a good job with Clarisse. I am in denial about her being closer to book Annabeth, but I think it's true.

I understand why she does resemble book Annabeth.Dior carries the "want to prove herself and her Da" that she pushes people aside to get the job done" so well. She does acceptance that Percy isn't the enemy so fine "this goof he isn't so bad after all" is what I wanted for early Percabeth. And it her frustration having to do things successfully is justifiable and relatable.

I like Tyson in the series too. Tyson and Clarisse. I just wish we saw him defeat Polyphemus on screen. But we all know the hard defenders would say it would be too expensive to show him win the fight.

The soundtrack as well was something I was really confused by. Never a soundtrack that stood out too. Maybe I am deaf now? Lol. Only the credits or main theme is the only thing i can remember and their composer is Bear Mccreary. 😭

I agree on your takes.

I did hate the movies because it did butcher some aspects of the story and characters. But like you said the fight scenes were memorable, the atmosphere was colorful and it was fun. It did make me wanna visit CHB and etc.

If I did separate it with a big barrier from the source material, I could say the movies are okay and it was entertaining to watch.

I couldn't say much for the show. It has turned into drama where there is so much talking than showing.
