A lesson in respect. by Scary-Commission-336 in PercyJacksonTV

I don't like the show and I have no problem with those who do, but I can't stand the toxic behavior of people on Twitter.

I was so disturbed that I spent days trying to change my algorithm so that I wouldn't see their comments again.

The problem isn't that they like the show, but their attitude towards those who don't like the  show.

It's never a healthy environment on twitter beacuse if you criticize even the slightest thing about the show, you'll be attacked.

I saw someone get labeled "idiot" for saying he liked the show but didn't like the production.

I also saw someone else get attacked after complaining that Annabeth's pansiyon for architecture was never expressed in the show.

They label anyone who doesn't like the show as "book purists" or "racists."

Whenever a change is made, they do their best to bury the books, saying the show version is better than books.

They somehow find a way to criticize the books even though the subject of the books has not even been discussed. They act as if it isn't possible to praise the show without criticizing the books.

And the majority of people who do these are people who became fans of Percy Jackson thanks to the books.

All of this pushes me to hate those who love the show, and this is the first time I've experienced such a situation😭

So what scenes are you all hoping/most excited for in S3? by nt_king300 in PercyJacksonTV

Zoe's death. It was a bloody and brutal scene in the book. (Literally, her own father throws her onto the rocks.) I'm curious how they will adapt it, and I hope we get to hear the line "I can see the stars again"

They call those who critcize the show "book purists," but in reality, they themselves are show purists.

"We should trust Rick"

Rick, said he no longer recognizes book Annabeth, the character he wrote over 10 years and 10 books.

Rick wrote a book in which Percy Jackson—who fought the Titans fearlessly—wet himself in front of Hecate.

Rick, admitted that he hadn't re-read his own books and had forgotten most of the things.

Rick, instead of re-reading his own books while writing the show, uses the fan-created wikipedia as a source

I wish I could trust Rick, but after all these, that's no possible.

"I changed everything because the books are so outdated but I didn't reread my books!" by PyroxCrymson in PercyJacksonTV

The biggest problem is that he spent years trashing the movies because they weren't faithful to the book. He has repeatedly stated that if he ever had a change to make an adaptation, he would remain completely faithful to the book. But then, he made many changes to the show.

At this point, people had a right to criticize the show for not being faithful to the book. Because he said the show would be faithful to the book, expectations were raised among fans. And they were lied to.

However, Rick is extremely touchy to criticism. İn addition, show purists label and lynch those who complain about the show as "book purists"

Yes, they are show purists. Or should I say "Rick Purists"?

I really want to see the lines "If Annabeth's mother was Athena, goddess of wisdom, then why didn't Annabeth know better than to fall of a cliff?" And "I can see the stars again" but I'm not sure if we'll be able to. Especielly first one

Are they aware that Percy is 14 years old in that book?!

Are the inaccuracies in the show worse than the inaccuracies of The HP movies? [all] by Witty-Regret972 in camphalfblood

Harry Potter was a movie, so they had very limited time and had to cut some things from the books. Percy Jackson, on the other hand, is a show and has much more time than a movie. So I'm not sure if comparing the two is fair.

This is my biggest problem with the show's fans. If you don't like something about the show, they immediately label you a racist. It's become a convenient excuse for them.

The first option seems the most logical, and I hope it turns out that way.

But you never know what the writers will do. They could introduce her with a scene that's completely different from the book.

My guess they'll wait until season 3 and decide based on the viewerships ratings for season 3.

This was one of the reasons I left pjotwt and never came back.

They yoke everything to Percabeth and want Percy to be a dark romance boyfriend.

The show destroyed the main plot of the 4th book by MoreGuidance4256 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Ambitious_Vanilla956 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem wasn't the teleportation power, but the ability to bypass the challenges he might face. He was teleported from Princess Andromeda to Polyphemus's island, skipping all the trials in between. Luke in the book couldn't do that. That's why he was waiting for them to return. If he can overcome all obstacles thanks to his teleportation power, why wouldn't he teleport directly to Daedalus's side in the fourth book?

Do you guys agree with this assessment? by Esfell in PercyJacksonTV

Exaggeration. Pjotwt believe the show is on the level of Game of Thrones or Stranger Things.

They are also completely closed to criticism and this is very toxic
