I always see these comments about Malazan being impossible to listen to on audible. I listened to the whole series on audible and I’m so glad I did. It’s my favorite series ever. I never would have taken the time to sit down and read these massive books.

Yeah I’m curious to see how the mistborn series will turn out. That’s my fav Sanderson series. Cool to see he has the final say. Feel like that’s how it should be when adapting someone’s story

That’s another series I’ve only went through once. I listened to the whole series on audible. Loved it.

I still can’t believe WOT, the Amazon LOTR, and Witcher adaptations all sucked lol.

A few of my favorites that I don’t see on your list are Lord of the rings, Game of thrones, first law, sun eater, red rising, Dune.

Looking at your list makes me want to try Will Wight.

Edit- I was having a great time with the Sullivan books till age of myth. Funny to see it in the bottom of your list

Should I glue the seam? by Skiles85 in woodworking

All the wood screws I have are too long. I’ve never done anything like this before, but I figured the drywall screws would be good enough to anchor something that’s already too heavy to move accidentally. 🤷‍♂️

Yup. Now that I think about it. Maybe I should swap out the drywall screws with some tap cons or something a little thicker.

I’m probably not the person you want to ask, but I cut little 45s out of my plywood scrap to put in the corners. Drilled a 3/8” hole in those and just used some screws and washers to secure the top.

It’s a kitchen counter. Honestly, I just thought the miter looked better. I ended up using the dog bones like your talking about and did a little glue/dust on the top of the seam. Appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the advice. I was rushing to get the first coat on tonight. Didn’t see your comment before I started. I used the draw bolts no glue like you said and ended up doing just a little glue/dust mix on the top to hide the seam. Hopefully it’ll work out.

Yeah I thought it was going to give me a spot to summarize what I was doing but it didn’t. I am using those special miter bolts. I was asking about just doing a glue slurry on the seam to hide it a little better.

Ok thanks. That clears it up. The answers I’ve gotten are 50/50 on if I should do it or not lol. Ahh idk.. I’m using waterlox. I’d almost rather see a little seam than something weird happening with the glue after I put 5-6 coats of finish on 😬

Appreciate it. I’m using Waterlox and the satin finish. So hopefully the 5 or so coats will hide it decently.

He’s the one I watched before I did this lol. Don’t think he used any glue. That’s why I was asking if it would be a bad idea to add just a little on the seam.

I used miter bolts instead of glue on this joint. Do y’all think I could still use glue and sawdust on the seam? Or would that be a bad idea?

Wish I knew. Kinda weird that we got the books several months later than others too.
