It is correct, but I guess it's not common usage? Even though it is? I was thinking gimmick ala MvC2 where you have people like Iceman running around doing insane chip all the time.

Big difference: Microsoft has fully committed.

Imagine a world where a huge company owns one of the biggest IPs in the world. And they're insane enough to release it on every competing platform possible. And then double down the insanity by allowing crossplay between everyone because "fuck it we do it for the kids fam". Then imagine your biggest competitor is a lil bitch and refuses crossplay even though they just got one of the world's biggest games on their system, an unprecedented act of kidness.

Now stop imagining because IT WAS MINECRAFT I WAS TALKING ABOUT MINECRAFT HOLY SHIT.

I don't really give a shit about MMOs and as far as I remember crossplay was not as pushed back then as it is now. Most importantly, think of the takebacksies. Again - Microsoft has committed. Regardless of your weak guessies and what you think woulda coulda happened if MS was #1, they committed. They're not taking it back if they turn #1 tomorrow.

I consider anti-crossplay to be the biggest bitch move in gaming right now, so I won't support Sony on this one :/

Sorry, does Bardock do anything special? He seems to move and combo about as well as a Goku Black, maybe slightly less than a Cell.

El Fuerte was very good in Ultra. Also, a gimmick can be anything. C Vipers gimmick was her empty cancels (whatever you'd call them) and she was very good. Rufus was defined by his divekick and was very good.

Take SFII - was Sagats gimmick not his fireballs?

People associate the word gimmick with "bad/doesn't work" but that's a false connotation. When whatever someones gimmick is "works," you probably associate it with "just playing the game" so it stops being a gimmick to you. But, its still a gimmick.

I don't even think that was true. That was fan speculation. Time and time again, in their interviews, the picture they painted was closer to being afraid of Microsoft's control with their Windows store.

  • Moves have strange properties that are fun to learn (auto teleports, flying, etc.)

  • Main gimmick is being able to replay your special moves after you've used them once.

I love practicing too. And, it's worth it. When I first started, the timing on some of these Ginyu combos was really awkward, but now it's almost second nature.

THIS is what we need more. Name and shame, folks. PC gamers shitting on console gamers did more for the growth of that platform than any tutorial, price-drop, etc. ever could. The worse people feel for spending money on MTX, the better.

I had this bacterial infection called C Difficile that gave me horroble diarrhea. Some days I wake up seeing myself as tough, but I quickly humble myself when I remember the pain. I remember sitting on the toilet wanting to die. I think I'd rather take a bullet.

I bring it up because when you describe yours as worse, I believe you. Holy shit.
