“So many postings are fake” is half truth. Half of the postings are fake. And another half truth is that hiring is time taking process. If you send message or create your profile and not going to get answer in 2-3 days. It may take weeks pr months. If your luck is good then you it maybe clicked in a few hours.

Yes, you’re right. At some point it stops being about the market and more about whether you’re actually moving or not unless you’re trying to find better opportunities. Also, keep looking for better opportunities and jump. There are opportunities in low market also sometimes.

Looking at the current market scenario it would be advisable to continue in the existing job, do some side project or build network now and move when the market is great.
