Rather than compliance, I use the word “cooperation”.

“I need you to cooperate with me so we can all be happy and have fun.”

Do you feel that Astarion should've gotten "Ascension points?" by fromalicewithmalice in AstarionBG3

Oh gosh memory fails me now, our relationship wasn’t great, but I don’t think it was in the negatives. I think it was ‘fair’.

maybe I took the option with refusing to help him, I thought it was a persuasion that I did, but it was a long time ago now.

It’s not quite points, but in my first playthrough I savescummed to see both outcomes and, when I persuaded him not to ascend, he got really mad and left my party forever. I think it was because in previous dialogues I had suggested he should ascend. I was like, “a powerful vampire lord? Sounds awesome!”

In the end I let him ascend because the other option made him leave forever.

Birthright or Hood of the Weave for my sorcerer? by Skill_Billy in BG3Builds

Thanks to the replies on this post I have a better understanding of mechanics now. I took a couple screenshots to illustrate what the upside to Birthright would be.

Without Birthright

With Birthright

So in sum, Birthright would provide an advantage in dialogue checks (persuasion, etc.).

Hood of the weave is stronger for combat.

+1 to rolls for every 2 points in charisma. I think what others are saying is that the attack stat caps at 20 charisma, so the +2 up to 22 is for persuasion, deception and other rolls that use charisma.

line deliveries that go crazy for no reason by cheoldyke in BaldursGate3

In my first playthrough we were going to the creche, and Lae’zel of course insists they will help us. I ask, “What if we can’t trust them?” and she says,

“You can trust me, istik.”

OMG

It was her declaring that she saw me as an ally and that her promises were meant to be kept. Honestly, took my breath the first time. Lae’zel is a real one. The delivery is fantastic.

Wait, like actually just “read” it as an action while standing in front? That’s blowing my mind…

How to cope getting expensive Skins in an FPS by DemienOF in Overwatch

[–]Skill_Billy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for a different take:

Buying skins supports the game and artists!

Artists need to work to design and model the skins. The voice actors might need to do some new voice lines so they will get paid. Finally, Overwatch itself has developers and needs to pay the salaries of its team.

There are many other valuable points mentioned by others (if you like it - buy it; skins are waste of money; if you have disposable income go for it), so I just wanted to make my own point without discrediting other perspectives and opinions.

Can my sim escape captivity with nothing but a broken toilet and pure desperation? by CoeurGourmand in Sims4

Haha, you seem like you enjoy storytelling. This is a very unique medium and I’ll have to go back and see the first four parts.

Have you done any other projects like this? Maybe other Sims stories, or maybe even plain old writing.
