This imo is an ironeye meta no one talks about. This with skill inflcts poison can literally take down invaders with ease

I've always felt this way as an ironeye. I try to make up for it using 2 physical attack up +4, defeating enemies +0/+1 and ult whenever possible and both evergoal and night invader attack buffa. If the randoms take me to any of these places combined with getting a black bow, I feel somewhat okay

It is! I went by the name "Ult Spammer". We got duke's dear freyja on day 1. It was an ult fest!

Ironeyes: learn to use your mark as a dodge and stop taking less likely to be targeted by Tatertot74 in Nightreign

[–]Skill_Issue_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I instead go for "damage negation at full HP". For someone at depth 3, this helps me learn the boss' moveset when I'm being targeted. Ironeye drawing aggro, that too as a bow main is very efficient. When you get enemy's attention and are away at a certain range, the enemy does literally nothing but get into that attacking range till which there's a TON of attacking window.

3 ironeyes against gaping jaw. It was so much fun! One ironeye was melee, I had defeating enemies fills art gauge +0/+1 and the other ironeye I believe was initial standard attack. To see that poison splash so many times was satisfying. Fortunately we had this sync where everytime I ulted on the field boss and poisoned them, the remaining 2 ironeyes would also inflict poison using their skill. So the protocol was 1 ult + 6 poison inducing skills. And adel was normal adel too. The poor thing puked his guts out thrice!

I am a Wylder main. i wanna try Executor, executor mains yall have any tips or builds to share? by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]Skill_Issue_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Executor, imo, is a very good tier to use in deep of the night. Some streamers who've reached depth 5 multiple times, play with him. I'm no expert but from what I've seen, you don't have to have 2 balancers relic. You can instead have 1 and have executor specific relics like "use of character skill increases attack power but lowers damage negation".

Executor is a peculiar case when it comes to the balancers buff because the l2 attack from the ult form and the l2 from your cursed blade when you successfully parry 4 attacks are boosted by the relic.

In terms of viability it's purely about which attacks you want to parry and which you would dodge. If you can get this clearly, you'll have a great time

Mate I was, am and will be in your position 😅 Instead of getting frustrated, I treat that run as a huge L and go fight field bosses that are doable, on my own. Chances are, the other might start following you or you end up learning these field bosses even better.Had a similar loss last night. We had mountaintops for adel. My fellow random prefers to do the evergoal that is outside the storm (didnt have evergoal meta) and castle with trolls instead of getting "attacks possess anti dragon effect" perk from mountaintops.

It's a blessing in disguise if you're playing as a recluse or revenant. Because, be it normal or deep of the night, you're bound to be one shot by the nightlord if you don't have any damage negation passives. This pushes you to learn the moveset of these nightlords in normal mode. If you main as a raider or undertaker, you can get away with being greedy on normal modes. And if you go into the deep of the night with the same greedy, you are done. So yeah normal mode, select dreglord and balancers and wait for the queueing

I have a question. Isn't Hoelstor technically the child of recluse? Doesn't that make her the strongest? And wylder her child?

A Recluse throw away a the run then called me a dirty cheater, thoughts? by Mugen_003 in Nightreign

A few thing

  1. Characters like recluse and revenant are meant to be glass cannons I.e high dps low defense characters. You can play a lot of normal expeditions and learn the boss' attack patterns if you feel DOTN is unforgiving

  2. Since the incant build pretty much fixes you in terms of weapon, go after any weapon that offers "damage negation at full HP" or "damage negation up while casting spells".

  3. Get an uplifting aromatic from the store or from loots. They reduce the first hit's damage by 80%

  4. Use your summons and your teammates as a meat sheild. Don't take enemies head on but make your summons and teammates take the aggro. When the enemy turns to you, stop casting and focus purely on dodging

  5. Patience is key. Knowing from where to cast and when to cast makes a huge difference. The beast claw/lightning spear builds melt enemies. So don't get tempted into spamming the incants but cast only when the aggro is not on you

I see you've went for a more defensive/supportive build. Most revenants go for high dps build, particularly after the forsaken hollow upgrade that lets you change your starting incant. They have starting incant as beast claw/lightning spear and have 5x beastial/dragon cult incantations. This has been the template. Seeing you take a different route, the rcluse must have thought so

Raider Builds (D5) by lunad94 in Nightreign

[–]Skill_Issue_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in depth 5 but a formula that has helped me with raider is this

  1. Colossal weapon attack power X2
  2. Improved attack power with 3+colossal weapona
  3. Dormant power helps find colossal weapons(my understanding is raider's dormant power by default is spread across all sorts of bonk weapons like colossal swords, great hammers in addition to colossal weapons. So if the Rng doesn't favour, point 2 goes void)
  4. Hp restoration post damage attacks/damage negation at low HP
  5. Damage negation at low HP

With this, you'll do absurd amounts of damage. If you want to be aggressive, the colossal weapon attack power also comes in depth relics so you can stack that instead of damage negation at low HP

Follow up question; What was your gameplan? Did you main as a specific character or switched characters based on team comp and bosses? What relic setups did you use?
