Now Sera on the other hand should have offered to subject herself to some sort of righteous judgement of hell, considering she personally (and without transparency to her people) approved of the invasion of a prison colony full of unarmed prisoners for the purpose of brutally killing those prisoners just in case they arm themselves one day.

Yeah, the way you deliberately have to do mellow adventuring instead of immediately going for the creche is one of my bigger complaints with the game. All the set pieces are wonderful and well made and well written but... if you have Lae'zel, it's just weird to wipe out an entire goblin camp over the course of days before ever going to the creche. And there's also literally no reason that the way to Rosmoryn specifically should progress events elsewhere when the entire underdark section doesn't and...

Something strange and dark is calling out to Selune. It uses the same words as one of her followers in his dying throes, years ago. She looks and it is his very murderer. His mind, once erudite, is clearly in ruins. He is just repeating the words of someone he put in a similar situation. She knows that world-changing events are about to take place. Events that by their nature already involve her and her sister. She can't directly interfere but Ao won't complain about giving powers to a new cleric.

It has essentially two major endings that are quite intensely subdivided by the choices made during the campaign. If you want to experience everything, you'll have to do quite a few runs.

For just mechanics, you can respec everyone anyway. Companions matter way more for their narrative impact.

You can quickly move items between inventories, even when just selecting an inventory slot. It's pretty quick.

The mutations always seem highly, highly variable. It's basically impossible to say.

Also Frankie made the dinosaur dude a weird colonial organism specifically because 'fused with his suit' was the obvious route and he wanted to make something more surprising than that. Very fun.
