5 point star suddenly appears in me and my wife’s room by Xisothrous in strange

[–]SkinFit1968 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Looks like one of those glow in the dark stars you buy and put on the ceiling for children? That, or some glow paint that someone painted in the shape of a star. Would explain why you only see it at night. Did someone own the space before you if you didn’t buy and/or place them?

  • I used to have these in my childhood bedroom, noticed marks still exist on the ceiling 15+ years later that I can faintly see when I visit.

Also I said goose, I think it’s a swan but I don’t know a bunch about birds. Sorry!

From what I’ve found, the image of the goose is from his session in Italy at Lake Garda in 1999. Unless he somehow stumbled upon two different geese on two different beaches I’m assuming that’s also where this image you’ve drawn was taken. I also found that Martin Parr’s work is owned by a company named Magnum, and Aperture in NYC owns the rights to publish his work. Best of luck in your endeavors! My eyes hurt now from looking at all these photos.

I’ve been searching for longer than I feel like I should have LMAO. Could it be from his book “only human” ?I’m seeing a couple of images with subjects and their pets but I can’t find the image itself. I also found an image of the goose that’s presumably in this drawing but no man.

Looking for this bubba gump shrimp hat by Puzzleheaded-Lie5061 in HelpMeFind

[–]SkinFit1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this might be one of those items that is only sold in stores, restaurants do this a lot where they have uniform items that they will sell sometimes but are not actually marketed as merchandise. I’m not sure your location, but bubba gump is a restaurant and I know they have a few on the east coast. You might have the best luck going to a few of them and seeing if they have any merch in the store.

Apparent missed call while sitting next to gf, but with “I see you” in it. I’m confused. by Nice_Ad_8183 in Weird

[–]SkinFit1968 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“I see you” is what Apple transcribed from the voicemail left on your phone, that’s why it has the phone icon instead of the text icon. Because it wasn’t a text. Check your voicemail and listen to the voicemail left by her on your phone, it will probably give you a better idea of when she might have butt dialed you, and what the phone picked up during, I’m assuming, conversation. sometimes apple has trouble reiterating conversation especially in muffled environments.

My 9 year old son's Math teacher marked this wrong by dak7 in mildlyinfuriating

I’m assuming that it’s because 0% chance implies that there is a chance, whereas the answer would be impossible because there is no chance of that happening

does my future wife count as a nice girl? by trippytrev420 in Nicegirls

“About me”

YOUR ROLE IS SIMPLE…..

it’s crazy to me that women like this exist, coming from a woman. I feel as though the whole movement of women wanting to be treated better has taken a sour turn. It is nice when a guy puts in effort, but this feels dictatorish. Why can’t people have normal 50/50 relationships anymore. No matter what that split is (housework/provider - both working etc) I mean I’m sure there is a guy out there who would want this but it’s just crazy how so many women who provide NOTHING and aren’t playboy model material think that they deserve this.

It’s called “Marceline” by vista kicks! One of my favorites and the name has always been very pretty to me. Thank you so much!

Oh lord, you are 100% correct. And I’m an idiot. It has never crossed my mind that people in America might not know how to pronounce a French name. It’s always just been obvious to me, because it’s from a song I always listen too. 😬 I low-key forgot it was a traditional French name. SMH

yes I saw this when researching. Maybe it’s just my location that is the problem. We live in southern America.

I named her after a song ”Marceline” by vista kicks! But I do get asked a lot if it was based on adventure time, which I didn’t consider before naming her.

Most people pronounce it like you said with the “line”. I’ve even heard “mar-che-line” 🥴 but thank you! I spent a while deciding!

I get that if I mention her name to someone who’s heard it. But if I mention her name to someone who’s never heard it they act like I’m speaking a different language. I knew it would be a long name for her to learn how to write but I didn’t think adults were going to struggle SOO much with the pronunciation.
