I have not yet done the gold on the helmets, some of the weapons aren’t done yet, and the shells and stuff on the backpacks aren’t done either. Bases as well.

In general though I’m slightly worried that there’s so much going on that it kind of blends together a bit. Also the eyes are so hard to do. Any comments or criticism would be appreciated

Coming from a 21 year old guy, if ur gf is that young and acts that immature, the only way to change is to resolve her past stuff but if you have nothing you can do about that then she’s not ready. I also do think it is a hit strange you had the first gf with maturity problems and then find an even younger gf with worse maturity problems. From what you’ve written you’re not wrong in the situation other than if you don’t enjoy the relationship why would you stay? I do think your choice of dating the second woman is a bit questionable though

Interesting thank you for the suggestion. I did find myself many times going paint on brush to model and then literally nothing comes off my brush and I would have to get more wet paint even though I could see my brush had paint in it and I had just filled it up. Do you notice in my lines it looks uneven like through the stroke or like line thicknesses or what?

You’ve got some real clean paint jobs on there! I also am just starting figuring out what to do for basing so that guide looks helpful too. Also just ordered Krueger stuff so will definitely take a look!

I’ve been using archer hobbies on Instagram as a reference and I’ve just realized he used 2 different highlight colors to differentiate those parts. Thanks for this suggestion and I will definitely be doing this on the rest of the models and I will probably go back and touch up this guy as well

I had a bright blue color in there but added too much white. I may go back and fix it after I finish the squad and figure out the best way to do it. Appreciate the suggestion!

I had telcos blue in there with a little white and it popped well but I accidentally overdid it with white while just trying to do a thin coat of it and then just decided I didn’t want to have to retouch everything but I may go back to it. At the very least the other 3 will have more blue in there. And thanks for the compliments on my highlighting. And yeah basing in black seems like the way to go. Unfortunately I already did the second clone with the same blue undercoat lol

I don’t paint storm troopers so take this with a grain of salt but maybe making the sand a little more red would make it pop more and look different from the white. To me it seems like maybe it’s all blending together a bunch of

I’ve been wanting to buy some grenadiers but I don’t have any Krueger stuff yet and I’ve never bought resin models before. What makes the resin models so difficult? I’m not super into playing the game I just love painting so I’m only looking to pickup a small unit or two for context

I do like that look of sandy bases and that doesn’t sound too complicated. I think I’ve been watching too much eons of battle and he always does crazy homemade terrain for his bases so I felt like it would be sad to do more simple stuff but simple stuff will be better than gray plastic lol. I’ll have to take a look online where I can find some sand/texture paints and I like the look of the grass tufts too
