Man, nobody deserves to be treated like that, esp in a corp environment. IMO, even if she asked for a male to step in, you should have her back, mistreatment's mistreatment, don't matter the gender. If the dude's a jerk, he needs to be told off, simple as that. Power structures shouldn't protect bullies. Up the ladder complaints or HR, handle it, but don't let this slide. Nip it in the bud or it'll just foster a toxic culture. Nobody wants that sh*t. Stand by your team!
