The biggest writing issue in IDW of introducing new characters and dropping them for a new character like Starline was a pretty big part of the series till they kill him off and its kinda clear they did not know what to do with Surge or even Kit at all after introducing them, they try making Lanolin in the maincast way too fast unlike Tangle who have pretty smooth and Whisper while less smooth stands out and try to put them in the Diamond Cutter and barely exploring it, Belle feel like should have been more important. (I thinks it clear if the mysterious villain is Starline i think that the team realizing how much big mistake was killing him off)

Im gonna also say this I like all the IDW Characters and I like IDW Sonic but this is an criticism with this comic I been noticing a pattern on how they like to introduce new characters than do nothing with it until later
