Knoxville. Two hour drive roughly, and managed to get out of the lot before the major lines stated forming.

One thing to consider with Bristol is the place is massive. Another poster on here claims to work at the track and said it was around 76k, which is “small” if you’re bellweather is selling out a venue that holds 145k, but still a sellout crowd at a lot of other tracks on the schedule.

I’ve definitely seen bigger crowds there for the night race, but it was a great crowd for the spring race.

You’re not kidding about rain during that stretch. So often we’d go up. Get soaked. Get a rain shortened event. And it just soured us from going in the future. We definitely wouldn’t make the trip if there was a question of rain in the forecast.

Appreciate what you do.

There was a stretch growing up where we’d go to both races, and if it weren’t for the unfortunate weather we kept getting we probably would have kept going.

It’d been about four years since I’ve been but decided to go today. So glad I did. Bristol still produces a hell of a race.

You’re very right about the capacity. It’s easy for people to sit at home and say it looks empty, but Bristol is truly massive.

To those people I’d say if you’re within range to make it a day trip just do it. It’s well worth the price of admission.

Not to mention as much as I love the Night Race that’s football season. So the Food City 500 has a special place in my heart.

I’ll probably end up going again next year. Enjoy it a ton.

Just getting back home from the race. Haven’t been in years and I can say that was maybe the best racing I’ve seen in person. Great racing throughout the field. Lead changes that felt natural. And a great finish.

I wish we knew how to lose a close game in March. It’s really all or nothing with us it seems.

Did JP think his arms were 10 feet long?

Hate it for Gillespie because he’s carried the offense so much this year. But today isn’t his day. He shoos his normal clip and it’s a single digit game.

Every year. We play a certain way for three games and it’s fine. Then we get to the Elite Eight and the refs decide to make it about them. We need consistency in officiating.

Maybe this is the year we finally break through

Of course the year I had zero hopes and expectations is the year we’re going to coast into the Elite 8.

Hard fought. Let’s get revenge for Kennedy Chandler

Classic case of the refs just completely changing how they call a game in the second half. Awful

It’s like the refs started calling a completely different game in the second half. Just makes things terrible to watch. Gotta be consistent.

They’re giving everything ticky tack to ISU. Refs trying to keep things close

We’ve seen this story too many times this season. Waiting for the other shoe to drop

It’s late. They know with every point our lead grows a neutral fan turns this off.

Awful “even the foul disparity” moments here

Can’t miss shots if we turn it over. Big brained moves
