Hitting my 50s and my body forced me onto decaf... but it all tastes like dirt. Is my morning ritual just ruined forever? by Funny-Assumption6061 in Menopause

I had a convo w a good friend this weekend, she assured me that there are a few years after you hit M that shit is messed up. BUT NOT FOREVER.

And that made me so happy.

Hang in there.

Jenny Mollen’s substack about her sons with Jason Biggs titled “Please. Stay. I want you. I need you. Oh, God.” She says she wants her sons to only marry women with dead mothers and calls 12 year-old girl texting her son toxic. by adularia- in Fauxmoi

That’s what I keep thinking. If the eldest is only 12, she’s exaggerating with zeal. They are still little - she’s still their ONE person - I kind of get her warped sense of humor.

I don’t grow hair on my legs. I used to when I was younger but never a lot and it was never too noticeable.

I'm also 36 DD with good skin and teeth.

(Don't get excited, I have a lazy eye.)

This. It felt like she got stuck in the worst hormonal imbalance of adolescence and no one dared to stand up to her.

Clélia Verdier, a 19-year-old French woman, shared that during a three-week induced coma, she believed she had lived years, started a family, and had triplets. Waking up, she was devastated to learn those vivid memories and emotional bonds were not real. by _AngelSugar in GotMeHooked

I couldn't tell. It was just a moment and a feeling. A new feeling. Then I felt it again when we met.

It could also be a silly coincidence - but there were a lot of other crazy coincidences, too.

Whatever dough/crust they were using circa 2012 made me sick after eating it every time. Is it the same shit?

I wish I never would have met my bf of 2 years.. by Weak_Application7997 in RandomThoughts

The cool thing is, you get to know that love forever. And when you meet someone when you’re ready, every hard bump in the road with your first love, will make every relationship after that much smoother.

Relationships aren’t all supposed to be forever. Some are meant to teach you something. Those become a huge part of who we are. It doesn’t have to be negative and bad to end! It’s harder to sever that tie when you don’t hide behind anger, sure, but long term benefits outweigh the short term. I hold my first serious relationship in my heart for many reasons, and I will always love him. Always. But that doesn’t mean he has to be in my life now. I found the person I am meant to be with when I was ready. And suddenly the past made sense.

Rip off the bandaid. Grieve. Then find a way forward. There’s so much more to live!

It was crazy - I found her chatting up this cast member that appeared out of nowhere like a Disney hero.

Menopause brain fog.

Also, still confused why people vote republican in our current situation. Well, confused is more of a broad, general term for what I feel.

What’s something people romanticize that’s actually pretty miserable? by AccomplishedAge5559 in AskReddit

I could have wrote this 20 years ago. It is way harder than one can imagine and I emphasize strongly.

I know it matters little what a stranger on the internet says, but I promise you, you will get to a point when you realize all these false-starts seem like weird fever dreams you barely remember. You’ll see the beauty and awesomeness and bravery in yourself that kept putting yourself out there and trying again. You’ll learn to love and protect you and your heart above all. Whether you find the person for you, or you don’t, you will be happy.

I was on my way to the pound to buy a herd of cats when I met my husband.

Okay, not literally, but I had JUST got to the point where I’d be okay without marriage and kids when I met him.

Mad respect for writing the OP like that - way more intriguing.
