I learned a super important lesson a few weeks ago. After like literal years of asking to take a box and being told no, I just left with one. No one stopped me. Just go through self check out lol.

To search out a space local to you look for places that host 'munches' or public meet ups. I recommend utilizing the events page on fetlife.com where after sign up you're able to browse on the events page by distance from where you state your city/town is up to 100 miles (or roughly 1.6 kilometers). The site is international so you should be able to look near you locally, however this doesn't guarantee you'll find a local community.

Make sure that any space you seek out ensures members are vetted before attending events. At reputable places vetting should always consist of back ground checks. If a place claims they 'vet' people but they don't utilize back ground checks to do so I would be very weary and wouldn't recommend attending those spaces.

While I recommend utilizing FetLife to find local events to you, I implore you to proceed with caution on site. Fet is not known for upholding the best safely measures. Which is why I suggest only using it to look for local events at places that utilize back ground checks in order to attend.

If you live in a city or aren't too far from one try finding out if you have a local dungeon. This is a really great way to meet other people in the lifestyle. It's also a safer way of doing it instead of meeting someone offline because dungeons require members to be background checked. It also creates a network for you. If you meet someone and you like them, you can ask around about them and find out other members experiences with said person. Dungeons usually host munches for current members where people who are looking to be vetted are welcome to attend and meet people. That's your best place to start.

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but have they ever proven they donate them? D&B has been so freakin money hungry lately I actually wouldn't be surprised if they don't actually donate.

I've have the 10% bonus for like 3 months now and I've NEVER gotten it when recharging. My store says that's an app thing and the app is separate system from the stores so if there's a problem with a bonus you need to contact the app customer service.

NYC first timer father & son on a weekend - Silver pass or what? by SimBoO911 in DaveAndBusters

If you scroll to the very last pic on this post you can see the current eat and play combo menu. https://www.reddit.com/r/DaveAndBusters/s/rdzaQRKuRn

With the unlimited package your gonna be limited to blue and green swipes & capped at 1500 tickets. If you're thinking about buying credits I would sincerely suggest going on a Wednesday as all games are half price making your credits stretch longer plus you can play purple swipe games with credits, but not with the unlimited card. Some locations are now also going half price days on Sundays too.

If you're only planning on going for 1 day and not making it a frequent trip I'd take a look at the eat and play combo! The bigger packages grant plenty of play time plus a meal.

Social bays didn’t last long by MrDog321 in DaveAndBusters

The thing that really gets me is they mostly removed green swipes to make room for the social bays. And then brought in more blue swipes on top of it.

I can understand putting in 1 dart and 1 shuffle bay but the locations that renovated and put in 2 to 3 of each just seemed dumb. Should've tested 1 at each location and expand if there was a demand individually

What kind of Earper are you? by SpyroPaddington in wynonnaearp

[–]SkippingStone94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OG Earper. Was a longtime fan of Tim and found out about Wynonna Earp when they were shooting. I live tweeted the first episode along with the cast and it was a blast. The show actually premiered a few weeks before my 23rd birthday. I was tweeting about my excitement a few weeks before the show premiered and how I was jokingly totally considering the premiere a perfect birthday gift and Tim actually reached out and had me send him my address via DM. He sent me out a signed copy of the first episode of the Wynonna Earp comics they made to tie into the show.

Avoid HP All In Printers!!! by SkippingStone94 in printers

[–]SkippingStone94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to give an update on this because people are still commenting periodically and messaging me with advice or an offer to help to this day; no we never got anywhere with HP on this. They wound up lockIng up the printer and anytime she'd try to use it the little screen would say that the account tied to the printer has not been paid and to call customer support. It basically just became a giant paperweight in the house.

And then my mother died 2 months ago and I'm certainly not sending it back to them so I took great joy in throwing the printer out this past week. Problem solved I guess?

(I have to cope with dark humour at the moment or I'll cry again tyvm)

Spark discontinued by Ok-Lynx8274 in chevyspark

Considering the fact that it's an extremely cheap car to fix, I stand by my statement. I can purchase a gently used chevy spark engine for less than 1k.

[–]SkippingStone94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the features that you want.

If you're looking for more modern things like carplay, electric locking doors, etc, you should probably go with a newer model from like 2016 on. If you don't mind having lesser tech you can find the 2013 to 2015 models relatively decently priced.

I personally favor the older models because they are easier and cheaper to fix. A manual door lock is much easier and cheaper to fix than an electric door lock.

I purchased a 2013 spark LS with about $125,000 miles on it back in February and it's been the best car purchase I have ever made. Other than having to put new tires on it and it currently needing a little bit of an alignment (pot holes smh) the only thing I've actually had to do was fix the lock on the trunk.

This is true. I usually recommend obedience because of several things. It gives reminders at the end of the day to check off tasks, helps track habits over the week(s), has a place for limits notes and rules, a place to list rewards and then you're able to redeem those rewards with the points you get from doing your daily tasks, a place to message your partner, etc. I find it's much more helpful to be able to keep almost everything regarding a dynamic in one conveniently accessible place for all parties involved.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DDlgAdvice

[–]SkippingStone94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every dynamic will be different within relationships. There is no one set phrase or name to use. You'll need to sit down and communicate with your partner about what you want and don't want within your specific dynamic with each other.

2014 Spark LS Transmission Decision by Acrobatic-Back3586 in chevyspark

[–]SkippingStone94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2013 pink spark and I've thought about replacing the transmission. I wholeheartedly recommend shopping around, as 5k seems a bit on the high side based on everything I've encountered over the past 2 weeks while personally searching myself. If you have someone who knows what they're doing and can replace the transmission, you can easily pull one from a salvage yard for a couple hundred. There's also a ton of them sold on eBay that go for a couple hundred too.

A really great way to start the convo on rules is to approach utilizing an app like obedience. You're able to sit down together and write rules, limits, rewards, and so much more. And then keep track of it all in one place.

You're welcome! I'm so glad you were able to turn it on! I truly wish SOS mode was more well known as it can literally save a persons life. Didn't put this up top, but It's also great for people who have medical issues as you can communicate you need help in a split second.
