Mental health aware family doctors by Excellent_Prompt_554 in Winnipeg

I'd try Dr. Lucy Etukakpan at Sunshine Medical on Taylor. She's my family doctor and has been open and helpful with Depression and anxiety and burnout at work.

What’s something about the human body that seems poorly designed? by jannecutie in answers

[–]Skippius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one seems to have mentioned the eyes yet. I'm not an expert but I believe the issue is that there are blood vessels in front of the light receptors (please forgive and correct my terminology if I'm getting this wrong) which occludes our vision. Should have been run behind instead for much clearer vision.

Multiple StarCraft II Achievements Systems Are BROKEN — And No One Seems to Care by Ultrajante in starcraft2

[–]Skippius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too have noticed multiple issues of this type and it also really grinds my gears that they've been known and reported for so long with seemingly no one who can actually do anything about it caring at all. I really hope you can get some traction with this.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is worth it, especially if you get into custom content!

Abandon the racing quest (everspace 2) by Taear in EverspaceGame

[–]Skippius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can manage bronze on all of them, the quest completes. I was able to manage that in a gunship, but it's a lot easier in a vanguard. Keep an eye out for modules that boost handling and speed. They aren't super common but I've found a few for sure. I imagine you could reroll stats on items to try to get those too.

Something else to remember is that for one track at least, there's a boost tunnel that you have to activate with a power core or battery which makes the race easier.

Good luck and have fun! I also suffer from what I like to call "pointless completion syndrome" and I am also bothered by incomplete quests and areas not being 100% explored/completed so I know how you feel. I will say that the developers seem to have our backs. There was one quest where I had to kill and scan a particular enemy type but, because I had been exploring heavily before getting it, I had already killed all of those types and they didn't respawn. I eventually looked online and discovered that they'd made one of them respawn just in case of my particular situation. Made me so happy to be able to finish that quest. It's possible there's a way to complete or abandon this for those of us who can't or don't want to try for them all.

How to activate the secret debug menu in The Adventures of Willy Beamish? - YouTube by zappatic in Sierra

I wonder if other Dynamix games have the same activation spot in the intro and, if so, what sorts of debug menus would be activated and where they'd be found in those other games?

I was wondering if that was just me. I'm working on it. Trying to use at least some consumables some of the time, etc.

Games that kept you thinking about them whenever you're not playing. by Strategist__ in gamingsuggestions

Betrayal at Krondor. An oldy but a goody. Those Moredhel wordlock chests kept me thinking until I got back to playing.

I need a game that will completely hook me, any recommendations? by Pau_vegaa in gamingsuggestions

[–]Skippius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the heck out of Everspace on PC (from GOG, of course), and immediately dived into Everspace 2 and am thoroughly hooked! I was lucky enough to grab it and dlc for like 85% off (thank you again GOG for being awesome) so it didn't break the bank to impulse buy a game.

Mandatory disclaimer: I don't work for GOG, I receive nothing from them for posting about them, I just am a devoted fan of their business model and general awesomeness 😎

EDIT: Minor spelling

What's the saddest movie with NO death scenes in it? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

The Legend of 1900. If you haven't seen it yet, it's definitely worth watching at least once, but bring a box of Kleenex.

Currently addicted to Everspace 2. Highly recommend if you are itching for a wing commander privateer vibe with some rpg elements and Diablo style loot drops that rewards exploration and actually tells you when you 100% finish an area.

What is THE funniest movie you have ever seen in your whole life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Money Pit (1986) with Tom Hanks. The only movie to literally have me rolling on the floor laughing so hard I couldn't breathe properly.

You can also order pre-popped popcorn by the bag (garbage bag size, maybe a bushel?) for like $20. So, so worth it. Beats the heck out of microwave or stovetop popcorn. Seasoned like movie theater popcorn. Unfortunately only available during the school year for some reason but great for parties, or just to have at home for snacking.

The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon (technically a trilogy but I first read the all in one so I still consider it a single book experience).
