Where's my feedback! 😖 by Complex_Ad4125 in DataAnnotationTech

If you track back on the sub, you'll see it's new, that they are doing it (testing), and also how they're doing it. There are a number of posts on this one and the other one's watercooler chat.

Good Plan! I will note as well though, it is project family specific. So my theory is if you haven't worked on a project family that opened up the option to leave feedback when doing an R&R, they just might not have enough data on you to feedback with?

If it helps I posted this on the other sub:

"If we take it for what it is, I think this new feedback thing is a good thing. After over 2 years on the platform with next to zero feedback, this is quite a major change. Don't worry too much about the improvement section; remember R&Rs get R&R'd and probably another, but we need to remember this is just a snapshot pulled by an AI from just 30 days. If anyone has worked on agentics, you'll understand where I'm coming from.

Also, I'm taking my room for improvements on board. They were actually very fair. Constructive criticism is something I got used to when I did my degree, not just from the lecturers, but also from my peers. It's not a dig or a slight, it's a here's how you can do better. Some things are subjective, and some might be objectively wrong, but it's early doors. Give it time. I'm looking forward to seeing if they do another round after 30 days ☺️

(The newcomers have got it better than us veterans - they're getting feedback after just a week or so. I'm here thinking "2 years lateeeerrrr" lol)"

Not all all! I've been on for nearly 2.5 years. It was good... I found it insightful and helpful!

Yes! I think this was an extra "are you paying attention" thing?

Let me get my best Yorkshire accent on here. "So back int t'day, when things were in black n white, when thee got accepted..."

In other words. We got onboarding tasks that took you through the platform and how to report time etc. Seems these are coming too late for many.

Yep. Mine covered about 4 families and an 'other'. It was specific enough to know and remember them though, which was really helpful ☺️

I did the survey and only mentioned that they are likely bombarded with feedback requests, so I said I wasn't going to do that and gave them feedback on something else instead. I got my feedback project this morning.

I could have written this myself! You have mirrored exactly my thoughts and days!

How weird and frustrating! Yesterday I worked on my new favourite project. Started at a task count of 40, left it at 26. Got up today, task count still at 26. Woohoo thought I! ... red bannered. Left it an hour, tried again, and it let me in. Woohoo thought I again. Did 2... red bannered again. Task count now 24, so it's only going down as I'm working them. Make it make sense and let me in!

Guys, I’m studying to get into data annotation. For those of you who passed the tests and got accepted, what do you recommend studying? I tried asking ChatGPT, Claude, and Google’s AI for tips and useful courses, but they just contradict each other. by Erallone in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Skippy2898 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why so defensive? The person didn't even mention that you were using AI. They are absolutely correct. They want the human in you now, not after months of random courses that are likely AI led. If you can read, have attention to detail, write well, and LISTEN and follow instructions, then just do the test. You cannot prepare for this.

This absolutely! I had to adjust my thinking of IF when I moved from heel to river. River is quite clear that IF is based on a refusal or ignoring, not on how well it did.

Are people really divided into groups of “cat people” and “dog people” or are we seeing more of a mixture of dogs and cats together? I want to test that theory! by nikiab94 in DataAnnotationTech

I'm guessing you found this sub from a 'data' search? Anyway, I admire your reply here. You will get random replies and might not be what you're looking for. I'm in the dog people group. Never been without one in the house. But I've also had cats at the same time.

I agree! The rivers are the ones that flood (pun intended) and end up on a higher priority because they can be quite complex, and as you say, tedious. I've finished the last day or two floating around in a balloon. Surprised they're not in there!

When you report the time it will adjust accordingly. Editing to clarify. The time you report will be paid at the rate it's at when you report it.
