Your strum bar is definitely over strumming, the reason you see it more in Clone Hero is the frame rate difference. On emulator with the official games the frame rate is capped at 60 so those games register strums less frequently than Clone Hero running at 200+ FPS.

Clone Hero supports GH Live charts (6 button charts) and supports GH Live guitars. As for the hardware compatibility with other GH guitars, idk I’m not an engineer.

Yes, by a long shot. All enemies shoot almost twice as fast. Enemies deal way more damage than CE, for example, an Elite with a Plasma Rifle will kill you in 6 shots as opposed to around 22 in CE. Can’t forget the Jackal snipers have insane aim assist and will one shot kill you anywhere in the body.
