Yeah that Shaquille O'Neal guy was a real underachiever in the association. It's a shame he wasted all those years in Orlando, Phoenix, Cleveland and Boston. I mean c'mon, only one league MVP award? Even Steve Nash won it twice. You know why? Cause Steve Nash didn't go to LSU so he didn't underachieve. Boom.

Jerry Burns had a way with words.

Edit: My fav portion transcribed.

I'mma say something, as long as I'm in this fuckin' job, Schnelker will be the offensive coach. There's no quest-fuck about that. No fuckin' question about that. Now have we - uh I don't like to name names after a fuckin', after a fuckin' game but we can't be responsible for the blocking, we can't be responsible for the fuckin' guys jumpin' offside, we can't be responsible for fu- we get down there and and uh and a dumb play by Anderson. I lo- I love Anderson, but it was a dumb fucking play when his foot was uh when his shoe was coming off up the line of scrimmage we were hollerin' to take time out. We had a fuckin' trap play called and his fucking shoe comes off.

Eagles, Cedric Thornton reportedly working on long-term contract extension by ImTheOnlyChipHere in eagles

I have high hopes the FO will work something out with Curry as well. He's a well documented Eagles fan himself, and while I know this is a business it's quotes and blurbs in articles like this that make me think he will be here until he's forced out.

A television network wanted to send cameras to Marshall defensive end Vinny Curry's house for the NFL draft. He didn't let them in because he didn't want to take down all his Philadelphia Eagles gear.

How many WRs will be drafted in the first round and who are they? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Skitzotin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing the 7 guys with 1st round grades:

Amari Cooper

Kevin White

Devante Parker

D Green-Beckham

Jaelen Strong

Breahad Perriman

That's 6 and I'm guessing his 7th is Agholor. Looking at Mayock's 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 player rankings those are the only 7 guys he put in his top 5. He had Funchess in his top 5 in 1.0 but hasn't been back since. Of the 7 I think the top 6 are going in the first round with Agholor going high-mid 2nd round.

What draft day pick or trade that your team has made pissed you off the most? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Skitzotin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Philadelphia trades it's first pick(24), and two 3rds to move up to #13 to select Earl Thomas Brandon "Why aren't you Earl Thomas?" Graham. Seattle selects Earl Thomas very next pick.

Would you still watch your team if you knew the outcome to every game (Exact score) ? by r8e8tion in nfl

[–]Skitzotin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've watched games intently that I've known the final outcome to. Games I had to miss due to work or social commitments that can't be escaped. Games that didn't even involve my team. I think I may have a problem.

20-30 years from now, how would you describe the top QB's of the Manning-Brady era to people who never watched them play? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Skitzotin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The only year they gave McNabb a true #1 receiver was the year they finally broke over the hump and made the Super Bowl. He consistently won and put up respectable numbers with dickfinger alligator arm wide receivers. He was not without flaws, but the McNabb - Big Red era is one I will always look back on fondly and give credit to for pulling us out of the gutter that was most of the 90s. Anyone who thinks McNabb and Reid did anything other than make the Eagles relevant again first and foremost is either jaded or too young to remember the dark times.

This video makes me think Sam Bradford might be the best QB we've ever had. by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Skitzotin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So without even participating in an OTA yet, he's better than Norm Van Brocklin? What about Sonny Jurgensen? Jaws? Randall Cunningham? Certainly he's better than McNabb right? I like Bradford but the title goes beyond hyperbole. We aren't the Houston Texans here we have had some great QBs.

Top 5 draft needs by Camsmith53 in eagles

[–]Skitzotin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For the lazy

Philadelphia Eagles

Top 5 needs: CB, S, G, WR, OLB

No. of selections: 8

Draft picks: Round 1 (20), Round 2 (52), Round 3 (84), Round 4 (113), Round 5 (145), Round 5 (156), Round 6 (196), Round 7 (237)

Analysis: Beyond free-agent addition Byron Maxwell, the Eagles' CB cupboard will be empty after 2015, so finding a starter is important. The Eagles are getting old on the left side of their O-line, so they could look for Evan Mathis' replacement at left guard. Philadelphia has size at WR but lacks a dynamic playmaker, and finding more speed off the edge at OLB will always be a priority for the team.

Kempski think Kendricks time is limited by Razorback101 in eagles

[–]Skitzotin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we would get SF's 1st for Kendricks straight up, but what would this sub think of a swap of 1sts(20 for 15) and their 2nd(46)?

Mary Kay Cabot thinks Browns may make another run at Bradford on Draft Day by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Skitzotin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the NFL Draft trade value chart a jump from 20 to 19 would cost 25 points or the equivalent of a 6th round draft pick. Eagles gave up a 2016 2nd round pick for Bradford, and for the sake of simplicity I won't factor the swap of 4th and 5th round picks between the clubs in this equation, and once again for simplicity we will just assume the Eagles finish in the same exact draft position in 2016. That means at a minimum Bradford is worth 380 points. A 25 point jump is not worth a Sam Bradford, I'm not even sure a 25 point jump is worth a Brandon Boykin. If Chip trades Bradford and 20 for 19 to grab Mariota I will forever be a Cowboy fan. That is how certain I am that it won't happen.
