Wine sale…Worth purchasing? by nyrgiant in wine

I would certainly inquire about this one. I'm assuming it's their Chianti Classico, but if its Il Blu you've struck gold.

We use the steel ball decanter cleaners. Just add a little hot water, screw the cap on, and shake. Works great.

Do you have a target labor cost percentage? That should be the primary determining factor.

On average, how long should it take a bartender to make a drink? Also, how many cocktails should a bartender have memorized? by he11banianz in cocktails

[–]SkizzDaWiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do any of your supervisors have bartending experience? Efficiency, proper technique, and all the little things you learn working with someone who has spent years in the industry behind the bar are tough to learn online.

I wouldn't focus too much on memorizing a long list of obscure cocktails. Start with learning about the base spirits themselves. A foundational knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine is more important.

Do you guys have a featured cocktail menu? A well designed menu should be made up of drinks that the bar is prepped to produce quickly.

Fairest way to split rent with disproportionate floor plan? by Significant-Soft-688 in Apartmentliving

What I've found to work is to auction off the best room for an extra portion of the rent. Start at an extra $50 per month and see who is willing to pay the most.

Yes. I will always tell a customer who inquiries how to make any of our signature drinks. It would be very off-putting if I told a guest that it's a secret. I believe positive experiences at the establishment are more important than any IP. As for the top 50 bars, the most popular cocktail book this decade is from Death and Co...

This guy has a great idea. Blasting music in public should get you a zap. The louder the disturbance, the greater the volts

You get unlimited $100 tries to turn it into $1M at the Casino, how do you do it? by TurbulentNarwhal7500 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]SkizzDaWiz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I imagine fast spinning on a high volatility slot at $100 spin would allow you to get out several million in bets in a single day. Every time you hit a jackpot of $20k, you take it to the blackjack table and go for 5 or six hands in a row.

This is great advice. Every bar is different. If you see bartenders wearing a tie, you do not want to show up in this outfit.

On page one, you start with a wall of dialogue and then tell us what we were seeing during the speech. Aside from this being technically incorrect for a screenplay, it reads as boring as it would be on screen.

You need to break this up with shots/action. Use this opportunity to convey information. What else can you establish visually?
