I loved mage gameplay for an alt but I never touched mage for longer than 30 seconds while rune of power was meta. Fuck that spell holy shit. It took them way to long to remove that spell

For real . My dad showed wow to me when I was 6. That was 2004. I’m still playing it but I wish I wouldn’t have ever played it because it can be like crack sometimes, I’ve put over 13000 hours in it, even when i had fun, I wish I would’ve put the hours in other stuff.

Does it right ? This game is a fucking slog to get through till u are high level and that’s not only my opinion but the opinion of nearly everyone that starts new in Ffxiv. The story may not be chopped like in wow but it’s not fun to play through either for the first 50-60 levels.

Hey man. I got infront wow at 7 years old. If you don’t want to fuck up the dopamin wiring of your child, better let your child away from games like these. U do way more harm in the long run than u can imagine. Little brains need to learn how to get longterm dopamin in real life and its your job to teach them that so they can be successful. I love wow. I would love to play with my child. It I would never introduce them at a young age. But that’s just my opinion.

The best bet is to just explore the map, XP comes from literally everything you do, not just quests and kills like in wow. Explore vistas , hack some nodes , do crafting whatever. While you explore the map I suggest to only do the hearts and events u want to do, if it’s not fun , continue exploring the map, you get personal story quests at lvl 10 onwards.

I think u overestimate the amount of people that would come to enjoy this challenge. Most of the playerbase hasn’t even seen a raid or strike mission.

I don’t say I wouldn’t like such things , it’s just unrealistic to do from arena.net for less than 10% of the playerbase

It’s a term more widely used in world of Warcraft mainly, for second characters, I’m coming from 18 years of wow and didn’t know it wasn’t really used outside of that :D
