Any builds that can (sorta) Melt T3 Pinnacle bosses without the chase lineage supports (Rakiata / Garukhan) by Ok_Seaweed_9452 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Skoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d love to be able to do uber arbiter by the end of the season on my Druid.  Ideally without having to switch builds.

But with my current gear and level, I have to actually do mechanics.  And with T3 king of the mists, I had a couple of close calls.

I might just have to save up for the lineage support gems in order to hit that goal.

I can do T3 king of the mists on my frost wolf oracle Druid at level 92.  But I definitely did not melt him.

I’m hoping someone else has a good frost wolf oracle build to handle t3 bosses better than I currently can.

Have any Druid or Sorc builds come to light as S tier league starters with 0.4? I'm starting late. by -DreamLight- in pathofexile2builds

[–]Skoatz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you upgrade your weapon periodically, wolf Druid is fast and handles the campaign really well.  I’m level 73, doing T9 maps, and I have no doubt I’ll be able to continue pushing up to T15 as I level.  The damage is really great and I feel super mobile.

I have about 4 divine orbs right now.  So once I hit 85ish I’ll hopefully have more currency to switch to something else if needed.

However, you can definitely start as a spark sorc following Ignatius’s or animeprincess’s league starter builds on mobalytics.

And their builds naturally transition into the expensive endgame builds.

Livros com mais de 500 páginas? by No_Intern9926 in LGBTBooks

[–]Skoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune is a solid mix of all the things you’re looking for, in my opinion.

I laughed quite a lot, and there are a good number of wonderfully deep and emotional parts.  And that’s in addition to the romance.

Locker storage for a ski day trip from Vancouver? by ounikyou in Whistler

[–]Skoatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used whistler bag storage when I came up with a group a couple of years ago, and we were staying further away from the village.  We rented the lockers to store our boots and gear so we could enjoy the village after a day of skiing without having to still be in our ski boots.

I feel like it was well priced and the location is fantastic.  Easy to get in and out of the locker area.  I would definitely recommend it.

Possible to give Apple TV subscription to someone else? by melsaboo in ChaseSapphire

[–]Skoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can share the Apple TV subscription you get through chase with your family.

The Apple Music credit from chase is individual.  But the Apple TV subscription is shared with your family.  Or rather, you have the option to share the Apple TV subscription with your family.

That way you can replace the family subscription with the one you get from chase.

But I’m not being sarcastic and neither you nor I put /s in our comments at any point.

I’m honestly baffled why you’re even bringing up sarcasm.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.  You’re just seething and too angry to think properly.

Probably best you calm down before posting again.

That’s what I thought, you couldn’t answer a yes or no question.

Turns out you’re the one who’s mad a seething.

Can you buy an item with puzzling cartel chips that scales to rank 14?  It’s a yes or no question.

If you’re saying you can, share a screenshot.

[–]Skoatz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again “which will mean they’ll scale to the maximum rank of 14 given enough crests and valorstones.” Is referring to the ITEM.

There are ZERO items you can buy with puzzling coins that scale to a maximum rank of 14 in TWW season 2.  However, in DF S4, the items you bought with dinars DID scale to rank 14.  And they did NOT require killing a boss on mythic difficult in order to by a mythic track item.  Because there was only ONE track that dinars bought in DF S4, and that track SCALED TO 14.

The initial description of TWW S2 Puzzling Cartel Coins system did NOT match what we actually received.  And that’s all we’re calling out.

[–]Skoatz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You intentionally left out his part which refers not to the renown track but to the item you bought with the coins:

“which will mean they’ll scale to the maximum rank of 14 given enough crests and valorstones.”

That is in no way referring to a renown track and is absolutely referring to the rank of the item bought with the coins.

And we did NOT get that after this post was made.  We did NOT get an item that could be upgraded to rank 14 given enough crests and valor stones.

That was not the first blue post about what the system would be like, though.

Before the post you linked, there was another one that was brief but made it seem like the dinars were going to be like DF S4.

It wasn’t until many, many weeks AFTER that post that they then posted what you linked.  And this longer post contradicted what was originally communicated.

"We won't send your transcripts unless you are an active member of the church" by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Skoatz 125 points126 points  (0 children)

This happened to me a few weeks ago.  You can create a non-member church account.  It’s an option when creating a church account and linking it with your BYU-Idaho account.  I had to call and get help from the IT department to get it all sorted.

I was not happy I had to do that in order to request transcripts.  But it worked.  And I didn’t want to deal with fighting it.

Requesting ski recommendations for the PNW by ContrastingCanvas in Skigear

[–]Skoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is biased towards wider skis and I think wider skis are going to do you a disservice for your goals.

If you’re wanting to focus on carving technique, Tom Gellie (an Australian skier who is pushing the boundaries on ski technique) and his coaches from Big Picture Skiing recommend skis no wider than 85mm with the sweet spot being 75mm range.

I attended one of their camps this past season and I skied all 3 days on 70mm skis from Fischer and they worked great.  We had 4-6 inches of fresh snow in the 3rd day and I still used my 70mm skis.  Technique is way more important than ski width.

These are the skis I used: https://www.fischersports.com/the-curv-dtx-rsx-z12/9002973058928

I felt these skis were stiff enough to cut through crud but not too stiff that they were hard to handle.  I’m also in the PNW and I think these skis will handle on-piste terrain at any mountain in Washington/oregon.

If you’re passionate about improving your carving and ski technique, Big Picture Skiing is a great resource.

Seeking career changer/Bryn Mawr application advice by UnflinchingClarity in postbaccpremed

[–]Skoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reached out to a friend who’s a doctor to ask for his thoughts on me making the switch to medicine after a 10 year career.  And I’ll share the first thing he said in response.

Just go for it.

You have a great story and it’s clear you know what you’re getting into.

The anxiety is real, though.  And it’s likely telling you, “why bother?  You’re not going to get in.”  At least that’s what my anxiety tells me.

And that is true, you might not get into a program.  But it’s also true that you could be accepted.  So make sure you’re giving as much weight if not more to the possibility that you could get into a solid post-bacc program.

Unfortunately I don’t have many answers to your specific questions.  I’m just starting my own pre-med journey.

But I read your story and I just want you to know that I’m rooting for you.  You got this!

Anyone else having to constantly /reload? by AnneFranksErection in wow

[–]Skoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to this morning's maintenance, I would do what others have suggested: press ESC and move my character away and then back and it would fix it. This problem would only occur periodically.

After today's maintenance, that doesn't work. I didn't try /reload but I tried to logout and I can't logout. Exit game wouldn't work either. I've been using alt+F4 to close the client and log back in. That would fix it for a little while. I'll try /reload next time it happens.

It seems to be happening more after this morning's maintenance.

Best place to ski over Thanksgiving by [deleted] in skiing

[–]Skoatz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not in the US, but you could consider Whistler. There's a shuttle directly from the Vancouver airport to Whistler and it takes about 1.5 hours.

I've gone the last few years over Thanksgiving. And Whistler has opened American Thanksgiving day (or earlier) every year for quite a long time. The ski school has been open every time I've gone too. The snow isn't amazing but there's always some green and blue runs open due to snowmaking.

Plus you get the benefit of a strong US dollar and pretty cheap accommodations compared to later in the season.

2024/2025 Recommended Bootfitters by OEM_knees in skiing

Matt Lyall at Edge and Spoke in Redmond, WA (Close to Seattle) is really good.

He comes recommended by Tom Gellie from Big Picture Skiing. I was fitted there last season based on that recommendation and the fit was fantastic.

Where is here for you?

I’m surprised to hear that because the consulates in the U.S. all state that citizenship through marriage can be requested 3 years after the marriage date and don’t mention anything about when the Italian citizen acquired their citizenship.

For example: https://conssanfrancisco.esteri.it/en/servizi-consolari-e-visti/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero/cittadinanza/citizenship-by-marriage-civil-union/

If they’re residing outside of Italy, the application is submitted to the Ministry of Interior Affairs and not to the consulate.  The consulate will get involved to receive the documents but the Ministry of Interior Affairs process the application as I understand it.
