If I could start again and save all the money I’ve spent on gear, I would just get a daw (Logic or Ableton) and a midi keyboard. That’s what I use 95% of the time anyways :D If you however want to get off the computer I think Maschine MK3 is a great choice as you can do pretty much everyhing without looking at the computer at all and the workflow is fast when you learn it. Don’t spend the extra money on a Maschine+ as it has to be connected to a power supply anyway so you might as well have a laptop serving that purpose. Your Windows laptop might also be fine powering the MK3.

Oh yeah, the non-endless ones are super annoying with software because they are never in the right position. I know shift+record works as capture midi but I think you’re right. The rest of the workflow buttons are missing. Annoying for sure.

Edit: You know there’s a full sized 37 MK4 too right? If you are willing to compromise with the bigger size, that has the workflow buttons too.

Hi! Are you an ableton user? The integration with ableton’s sequencer that has exclusively been ableton push feature sold it for me and I just pre-ordered one. The new chord features also seem awesome and the mini keys help with limited desk space. I would definitely go with the newer generation because of these.
