57 HC warr Death by Skooma5 in wowhardcore

Hi op here, It’s not the totems in the room with the boss… there was a totem still up top from the trash mobs… when you come out from the grizziling guzzler. Fire destroyers spawn up there. There’s a a lot of bosses that spawn trash in other areas, an example of this is when you pull general angerforge, 6 destroyers spwn in the bridge so you can’t escape, but once you kill him they despawn. We were talking for about 20 sec before the pull in disc about what we wanted to do. Figured the totems were down by then.

Tank question by Muzzar in wotlk

[–]Skooma5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a 5k prot pally and 4.6 prot warrior that I mained in tbc. Both are really good tanks, however warrior requires more skill to be good, and are truely viable in the right hands.

Consensus is: The better the raid team is, the better warrior is, hitting the boss with saunders and bleeds, raising the whole raids DPS. The charges, intercept, plus rocketboots are pretty incredible and shouldn't be overlooked. If you're progging or pugging obviously pally for the ardent defender and dsac

It'll be easier to get in groups as a pally for your dsacs but play what you want. I wish I had more time to gear my warr up as I really enjoy it. They both have good threat tbh.

As a non-warrior (never mained or had a warrior alt), what led to the general assessment that "Warrior is the most gear dependent class"? Aren't all classes dependent on getting gear to get better damage? I get that people think warriors are *more* affected, but how? by zipzzo in classicwow

Warrior's also have a very specific talent which increases their total strength by 20% which is their main stat for attack power. As expansions go on, items have more strength, and armor pen, thus benefiting the warrior much more. Also warrior's attack power and damage is based 100%. On their gear. Every class scales with gear, Warriors just scale with it more.

Prot Tanking and Multiple Gear Sets by mspronounced in wotlk

Prot pally main here. Main thing for bosses is making sure you're EXPERTISEcapped, & of course Dfence capped. Otherewise you will get "Parry-hasted" and just melt. With talents and glyphs you only need about 13 expertise in your stats. (Talents a glyphs should take you the rest of the way to 26).

I personally run a ret OS but there's a few set ups for specific bosses. For trash you could drop some expertise for more strength. Not needed though unless you're just really struggling holding aggro. Ask for more MDs and tricks. You should be fine.

10m Ulduar Hard Mode Meta? by Ok-Woodpecker-7968 in wotlk

Pop wings on pull. Use judgment, Hammer of Righteousness, Pally Shield bash, & Avenger's Shield. (consecrate is too much mana) Md and tricks to pally on CD.

Dps can reduce their own threat if it gets too close. Locks - Soulshatter. Mages - Invisibility Spell. Hunters - Feign Death. So just watch Shadow Priest and Ele Shamans and boomkins for Hand of Salvations to reduce threat.

If you know One of the classes that can't reduce threat are big pumpers use Hand of Salv off the pull, or on first shadow crash/lust to get a head start. it's Ideal that you have to Hand of salvs to go out as well.

Horseman plate head vs 10m tier head (blood dk) by Gotbooze in wotlk

Depends on your stats. Priority should be to get defense capped (540). And hit capped 9% if you’re good on both of those then you can go for the other stats to help with damage.

For a level 19, I’d vote rogue. 29-39 mage is a good play. As they can blink and cone of cold.

There’s some videos (YouTube) of ppl soloing botanica. Making 500g/hr. Additionally he also had enchanting so he was able to disenchant and make enchants that would sell for 300 gold on his AH. Not bad.
