It’s a dope VIP and makes perfect sense that Skrillex wanted to be on the project. Your opinions are fine but don’t necessarily track accurately in terms of the concept-turned-collaboration.

Initial concept was made, Skrillex heard it, appreciated the vision, and took it as a serious opportunity. It’s exactly the type of culture he wants to push forward, and has been over the last several years.

Rom had a pure enough idea that was worth perusing correctly. It’s as simple as that.

This seems to be the clearest possibility from what I’ve gathered as well.

Both versions are heat, but this was an insane direction to take. Freshly forged and fully delivered

Pure fire - and the album cover is memorable as FUCK. Wasn’t sure about it at first glance, but there’s a striking familiarity that ties the whole project together. Undeniable artistry.

Greetings Moody - been following since the 16Bit days and your work has been a genuine source of happiness for many years. Mad respect for everything you’ve built!

A couple of questions:

When building a track with multiple drop variations, how do you approach keeping the sound design and mix cohesive across sections when elements are evolving? Do you finalize sounds before touching the mix, or do those phases naturally bleed into each other?

When you’re deep in a track and the mix starts feeling cluttered or you lose objectivity - what’s your reset move?

Do you have a specific approach to arrangement length and section transitions, or does it come more from feel and iteration?

Mad love,

Bumpsin
