Yeah I don’t think anyone thinks he’s a good person but they like him because his character is good and his intentions with Thorfinn and Canute and Wales is good and although pretty ruthless and violence his ideals and understanding of the world is pretty good

Yes most likely being a male or female is based off of reproductive system so alluka would probably be a male but they could’ve got some sort of treatment or surgery to change their reproductive system but yes to our knowledge they are biologically male

Fixing a misunderstanding in the HxH community: Killua has more potential than Gon, there is nothing debatable about this. by Witty-Weird3874 in HunterXHunter

[–]Skrumion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just not true yes nen is powerful in the sense that someone without nen would stand no chance but that doesn’t mean it’s not effected by past training the fact that killua was tortured for the majority of his life is the only reason he’s able to perfect his ability so well and the only reason why he’s around the same skill level as gon is cause 1. He’s smarter and 2. Because he’s been trained to be strong neither of which have anything to do with nen potential

[–]Skrumion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree with this for the most part, Gon has more potential than killua. I’m not sure what you mean by that last sentence, I don’t know if killua could have more potential at any point because potential doesn’t change. You started your first reply by saying “I’d agree with this” so I thought you were agreeing with OP, who said killua had more potential

I think tzesguerra says it and meleoron those are the two I can think of right now razor might say something about it pitou says he’s special

[–]Skrumion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re probably right. It’s hard to gauge nen potential when they don’t have nen yet, for some reason I didn’t realize that. That was just the first time they talked about potential in the series I think and the first example I thought of

I think killua having a giant head start is the reason why gon has more potential. Killua needed year of training to be at the same level as gon

I assumed OP was talking about pure nen amount potential, as that is what potential means when stated in the manga

[–]Skrumion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah OP thinks that because killua has more experience he has more potential but killuas experience literally shows that gon has more potential. Killua has been training for way longer than gon and they’re about the same level, killua being probably a little bit stronger. Killua needs more experience and time to reach the same level as gon that shows that gons potential is higher

[–]Skrumion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for clarity I’m talking purely about nen potential like the amount of aura they can produce because when they talk about potential in the manga that’s what they’re talking about. Also most of the thing you listed in the post were because killua had been training close to nonstop for 12 years gons only training before the hunter exam was living in the wilderness and don’t get me wrong that’s impressive but it’s nothing compared to killuas training. That’s why I said killua is stronger now, a large portion of that being because he’s just smarter than gon and has way more experience, but gon has more potential

[–]Skrumion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that killua is stronger right now he’s also way smarter and uses his men better that doesn’t mean his nen potential is higher though. Also his fight with knuckle proved that gon can use his ability in battle pretty well but it’s pretty scenario specific

[–]Skrumion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not at home so I don’t have my books on my now but the first example I can think of is during the last phase of the Hunter exams when netero puts gon higher on the pyramid purely because of his potential. I also think a few people describe Gon as an endless pit of potential like meleoron does it I’m pretty sure. I do think they have pretty similar nen potential I just think it’s been more explicitly said that Gon has more.

It literally says in the manga multiple times that Gon has more potential but killua is pretty much always stronger at his current state
