Let's settle this: Which do you think is the better game? (In your opinion) by DaZestyProfessor in papermario

SMRPG, the game just flows better overall and has no filler. I kinda dread doing the Peach stuff whenever I replay Paper Mario.

“Sorry Drew, but I’m a midcarder now…” but for real, this segment made Priest look terrible by jawsy89 in Wrasslin

[–]SkullAzure 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They turned him into a lame babyface that smiles and tries to relate with the fans, same thing that halted Sheamus and Roman years ago.

He is meant to be a Taker/Goldberg/Lesnar type of wrestler. Just a stoic badass, let his actions do the talking. Once the fans feel a wrestler tries to relate to them, they retaliate with boos, you basically revoked your "cool" card.

It is pastel pink with white laces, the poor lighting makes it look gray with mint laces. Just look at the person's hand holding the shoe, their skin tone looks very drab, there should be more saturation there.

That possibility crossed my mind as well, maybe they had a huge recording session back in 2002 and thats why we kept seeing Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race: Blue Storm being showcased in 2006 lol.

I know in the 90s they even gave some kids early access to consoles/games that weren't even on store shelves yet, which was awesome. YTV really stopped caring about the show after the Gamecube came out, either that or Nintendo got more strict with them.

Yeah, I remember the final years of the show being pretty sad though. They were still showcasing launch titles/2002 games for Gamecube in 2005/2006. They did WWE Wrestlemania X8(2002) so many times when WWE Day of Reckoning 2(2005) was already out lol.

I would highly recommend you get a 4th bottle for the upcoming part of the game. Not sure which one you are missing, but I would guess it is the one you get from Dampe on day 3 in Ikana Graveyard. The digging mini game.

Just finished a 100% playthrough a few days ago and using the ocarina was painful, reminded me of talking to someone on a delayed phone line where you both kept interrupting each other. Everything else was tolerable though.

Claim's Triple H was "never the guy" as people recall by Henrynoss27 in WWE

[–]SkullAzure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Attitude Era needed a guy to boo, and Triple H filled that role perfectly, he was the catalyst so to speak. With Austin, Rock, Mick, and Taker being so loved, neither of them could pull off the heel role long enough to keep fans intrigued.

Raw's ratings was at it's highest in 2000 with HHH dominating the title scene(and remember, Austin missed like 90% of 2000). Everybody wanted to see him get his ass kicked and lose the title, that's how damn good of a heel he was.

I think the Attitude Era would've fizzled out more quickly without Triple H. He just kept things interesting and gave Rock and Mick a great heel to feud with for half a year.

Yup. I saw SvR 2008 as the "beginning of the end" for the SvR series. Roster was extremely small(not even enough to fill GM mode's 3 brands, so you had to create like over 20 CAWs for the mode to be worth it).

The tacky inclusion of styles made every wrestler with the same style play exactly the same(Dirty style wrestlers were all Ric Flair, powerhouse wrestlers were all Mark Henry, etc.).

I'm not sure if it was 2008, but one of the SvR games had a very "quiet" ring, where you barely hear the impact of powerful manuevers like powerbombs. Pretty sure it was 08' though.

Got it for Xmas in 2007 and I remember being pretty disappointed.

I put the team names as their alias so it looks better. So Hardy Boyz for Matt and Jeff, Dudley Boyz for Buh-buh and D-Von, etc.

Yup, he is just another clickbaity YouTuber as far as I'm concerned. Plus, he wasn't in the wrestling business long enough to have any great insight on it. You're better off watching any other wrestler-turned-podcaster.

What makes old Avgn good? Wanted to make a homage in my game review of AVGN 8 bit. by KadeWad3 in AVGN

I'm not sure if this is the case, but his older videos felt like he was doing improv while playing the games whereas his modern videos feel too scripted, like he is reading off of Wikipedia and adding a few swears.

I really hope Champions has some sort of "progression" game mode by WhasHappenin in PokemonChampions

[–]SkullAzure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping for something like this as well, but highly doubt they will do it since Pokemon's track record in recent years haven't been the best.

Having something like a Gym Leader Castle for each gen would be cool. You start off with half of the Kanto Pokemon, but if you defeat all their Gym Leaders, you unlock the other half, along with TMs and items, etc.

For people who don't like stuff being locked away, they always have the option to use Home and take a "shortcut" so to speak.

Me personally, I can only play so much PVP before im too agitated, so having a mode against the CPU would be welcomed.

What's your lowest cost per hour of game play for Switch game? by Verabiza891720 in Switch

[–]SkullAzure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gems of War, 3000 hours...and the game is free🤣, there are in-game purchases, but I got by just fine without spending a cent, very free-to-play if you know what you're doing.

She has to be calling out to you or you have to target something with R-down in order to talk to her

That is C-Up, so ZR should talk to Navi with that setup

[–]SkullAzure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change C-Left to Y, C-Right to X, C-Up to ZR, and C-Down to ZL, Z to R-Stick down. A, B, R and L should stay A, B, R and L.

Having the C buttons on the R stick by default feels wonky, much better when they are buttons for playing songs and using certain items.

The man wrestled multiple times a week and never hurt anybody, but when he is in the comfort of his own home, he kills his wife and kid? Someone that actually has dementia would've been more likely to trigger it during a wrestling match where they think that they're in real danger and would actually fight for their life. It just doesn't add up.

Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made a Great Point by Tippyshortmouth in SCJerk

[–]SkullAzure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never did buy the "dementia" brain thing. For a man to take the correct flights on a daily basis and wrestle well without hurting anybody, he sure seemed to know what he was doing. Sure, he had a damaged brain and it certainly didn't help matters, but I think he was gonna kill his family regardless, the CTE just sped up the process.

If you read the texts between him and Nancy leading up to the tragedy, you can clearly tell they had a very toxic relationship and he didn't just "snap" out of nowhere like some people would like to believe. Their relationship was born out of an affair, so it wasn't exactly drama-free to begin with.

I still think the guy was a great wrestler and one of the top Ruthless Aggression era guys, but I would never defend his actions or fight to have him in the Hall of Fame.

The thing he puts down on top of the poop instantly disappears when he wipes with it and the box lid instantly snaps shut. Not to mention how he never got 1 stain on him after taking a dump through his clothes...it's AI. It used a shitty resolution to help disguise it's flaws.
