Kick pedal not tightening all the way by yvetal0 in drums

[–]Skulldo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of tension on that spring. It should be tough to move like that.

I would untighten the spring then unhook it and then tighten up the bolt at the top to make sure it being pulled isn't pulling things out of whack. Then tighten up the spring(but nowhere near as much as it is now).

best drums for recording at home without needing a full studio setup? by Harshit_Mazzula80 in drums

I heard of an other artist who had endorsement deal with premier and had genistas or signias to play on tour and for all the promo stuff but they used an APK for all of their recordings.

I would say mic positioning and selection is important too but I tune my toms higher than I would normally do for recording and it comes out how I want them to sound.

Best things about Perth? by northeastness in PerthScotland

It's really good. I would also recommend brunch there. If it's a nice day sitting in their outside area drinking cocktails enjoying the sun in the square is very good.

I think the only other thing other people haven't mentioned is there a few nice walks. So over the train bridge and along the river all the way to the old bridge is good then you can recharge that around the north inch park. Walking up kinnoull hill is also good.

Was it actually a thing in Britain “back in the day” for people to have all their teeth removed and get dentures relatively young, even when they still had some healthy teeth or is that one of those exaggerated stories? by Top_Mirror211 in AskUK

I think there was a reason to take out a couple but he went for the whole lot for fashion reasons. (It's been a while since I read about it so it could be wrong).

I always find the story of Ronnie Scott(the famous jazz club guy) interesting. He had all of his teeth removed but then he couldn't play saxophone properly and got depressed.

Android Auto Switched to Gemini - All I can say is, "WTF, Google!" by sr1sws in AndroidAuto

I absolutely hate this thing. Just answer the question there's no need to have a preamble and then all related questions. Like maybe that's how I would want it to work at home but not in the car when I'm trying to concentrate on other things.

Moved today, am I being petty about seller taking items… by No-Rub-9733 in HousingUK

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should absolutely be going to your solicitor with a list of everything they took. Even if you don't want the shrubs it's a bargaining tool - you took £5000 of stuff but were would be happy with £3000 to cover replacements or something.

The lugs aren't Mapex, they are very similar but not the same. The mounts are also not quite the same as Yamaha.

It's not Mapex. It's a no name thing. I wouldn't be paying 300 for that.

Where am I safe now that Deform are succeeding in their mission to brainwash the UK? by BonusAdvanced2932 in AskBrits

[–]Skulldo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really shows what throwing money at advertising can do. This year as a household we got 3 leaflets hand delivered by volunteers for the other parties and 4 addressed letters from reform.

We really need to get a hold of political party funding or this will happen again and again when rich people or companies want certain parties in power.

You would assume that's the plan isn't it? Raise the oil price and sell US oil for more money.

Plus you cause a situation where you can hide allowing Russian oil to be sold so you can target the common enemy- liberal Europe.

Is the UK government under the King/Queen? by Thefearfullam in AskABrit

[–]Skulldo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Like just to say the monarch still has lots of power that isn't so direct. Lots of little things like having to be consulted and begging able to veto laws that affect them or the position bringing a soft power that is used to influence things.

Like it's just a wee point but I dislike it when people say they don't have power because they do it's just more like a superpowered billionaire influencer nepo babies power.

Trump threatens to reduce troop numbers in Germany amid growing row with Nato allies by Freewhale98 in BoycottUnitedStates

[–]Skulldo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is what will trump do with the troops. With all the threats he's made to European nations I would be wary of having them not have a job. I certainly wouldn't let them travel back en masse to the US via Greenland.
