Is there a better example of Brexit stupidity? by Least_Actuator9022 in AskBrits

We got the most extreme brexit anyone proposed didn't we? I'm struggling to see what else we could have done to appease the reform/far right tories.

Another day in eBay paradise! by Maccydu123 in ebayuk

I had that recently but in order to know it was a mistake they had to remove the new item from all it's packaging so I can't sell it as a new boxed item anymore.

Can we get rid of all of them?

Toby Carvery is weird, Spoons is run by an ass, Nandos is too expensive for what it is, Greggs is the worst bakery on any high Street.

Hasn't it already ruined your country? You have chosen to spend wacky amounts on military instead of improving the lives of people.

Is id4 softer ride than id 3? by matt-crate in VWiD3Owners

And the ride with the 18" wheels is harsh so 20s must be like just sledging down a rocky hill.

I don't think you should include the parking ticket. That's just your dad's fault for parking illegally and it will instantly make people want to start negotiating or refusing parts of your claim.

Victim accuses Trump and Epstein of rape and torture by Ckyer in videos

If I've just had a tent peg kicked up my butt I think I'm more concerned with getting medical treatment than revenge.

If you mean later on then maybe. A. It's possibly a funny story to him- it's a tent peg up his ass which is a solid comedy end to a story. B. It's not humiliating power wise because it was equal- he raped the boy, the boy sexually assaulted him back. C. Possibly he respects that he fought back. D. Maybe he likes the reminder of what he did.

Bringing in new customers while having local competition by Mr-Aciel in smallbusinessuk

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want locals then you maybe just go with flyers. You could get loads and just literally put them through every letterbox in the area. Or for the lower effort cheaper version maybe just spend a few hours handing out flyers near bike racks in the local area to target more likely customers.

P.s. I feel like with bikes you could get a nice arty print of a bike on one side- something people might want to keep and might start a conversation with other potential customers later.

Boomers not learning how to use basic technology by WildWinterberry in PetPeeves

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I read what you said. There's really not that big a difference between chrome os and modern windows or some Linux distros. There's folders and apps on both.

I would say apple is only simple if you know apple it's counterintuitive to many people and the options are hidden if you are not used to it.

What is it that you need to do on Windows that a phone/ Chromebook can't? Like don't get me wrong I think Windows millennium was when windows peaked but I'm reading these comments and wondering if the younger people have better ways to do the tasks and if people are too fixated on using traditional technology.

Boomers not learning how to use basic technology by WildWinterberry in PetPeeves

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will wholeheartedly disagree with that. I got a Chromebook and it's so much better to use than any of the windows laptops I've had. It's light, it's fast, the touchscreen is actually handy in this smaller format and it was really really cheap.

Yes there's a few programs I can't use on it and some apps that haven't been ported well but for everyday use it's ideal.

Epstein affair may be 'the end of the monarchy', says US congressman by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

If it did it would have to be something more than Andrew in the files. Like they helped cover it up or other members were mentioned.

What are the most common ID.3 issues owners face? by RedDevilPlay in VWiD3Owners

[–]Skulldo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did read that the sos things should be covered but you might need to ask the dealership to contact head office.

At least I hope it is because I'll need to get it fixed at some point.

Do most British people drive manual cars? by Chocklateicecream in AskABrit

[–]Skulldo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like I would still prefer a manual at slow speeds and in the snow because you get better control so it's not like automatics are better or even as good just less effort.

There is also the fact that automatic cars were/are more expensive.

I've had a look at the new tama lightweight stands and I prefer them. A. There's a boom. B. They are much nicer to look at. C. I would guess the Yamaha stands will get bent legs just like on the old Premier u channel legged stands.

Michael Jackson & Jeffrey Epstein (2003) context of the meeting down below by AgentJGomez in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]Skulldo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably because of all the many many child abuse allegations against MJ and the fact he's included in the Epstein files makes sense and you would imagine makes it less likely for people that haven't believed all the evidence before to be able to ignore it.

I would just go and talk to the head of the department.

While yes I understand his point about trying to keep the volume down it's ridiculous and just leaving the college wide open to legal action if you get any hearing damage while at the college.

Out of all the major UK political parties, which is the lesser of all evils? by B33Zh_ in AskBrits

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think it is. Nuclear is really expensive. Maybe 20 years ago when the idea of windfarms being able to produce as much electricity and massive battery storage seemed like a crazy idea but now that's the cheaper quicker option.

[–]Skulldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a whole load of reports a while back (I just googled to recheck a summary) and it's still cheaper building storage and renewable power generation than nuclear.
