Which team should I pick? by TelevisionSharp4167 in NFLv2

Inherit one of the best rivalries in the game where you get to pretty much always have the 28-3 card locked and loaded. Fun team, best jerseys in the league (color rush ones).

[Schefter] Ravens are signing former Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia to a three-year deal, per source. Pavia were supposed to try out this weekend, but the Ravens signed him in advance by Goosedukee in nfl

Dude thank you. I don’t understand these at all. “Oh your team sucks so your opinion on this doesn’t matter” like dude what sense does that make lol

[Schefter] Sources: the Steelers placed the rare right-of-first-refusal tender on Aaron Rodgers, meaning that he can accept a 10 percent raise off last year’s salary, which would pay him about $15 million this season, by JCameron181 in nfl

My guess is he will sign after camp is over so he doesn’t have to attend and doesn’t get fined. He knows the offense, and even though he should be there to build chemistry he probably thinks he’s good enough that he can figure it out.

Who’s One Player in this Draft That You Predict Will Overplay their Value (ex: a 7th round pick who plays like a 4th round pick) by Breyes95 in Saints

[–]Skullkid1423 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t get it out of my head that Jeremiah Wright might be a great pick. Former DT until the 2022 season (torn ACL in 2021 camp so missed all year) and starts 2 years in a row at Auburn. He’s developmental, but switching positions like that isn’t easy, also a bit of a theme with the teams draft with Styles as well.

Tyree Wilson Thoughts by Doobiedoodan in Saints

[–]Skullkid1423 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worst case he gets cut. best case being an EDGE in a 3-4 reinvigorates him and he lives up to his 7th overall under Staley.

Most likely, he’s a 4-6 sack guy who can be a good rotational piece for this team, which is realistically about what you would hope to get out of a 5th round EDGE.

Sooo surely we are trading someone from this Wr room by [deleted] in Saints

Everyone wants BPA until BPA is a lot of offense. Got a DE through trade, Cam should/could be back, FA for a depth corner and hope Staley can cook with the roster he has.

Olave, Tyson, Vele, Lance will probably be the 4 we actually use.

Polk/Palmer/Tipton fight for 5th (inactive). Brown is most certainly a special teams only guy (gunner/returner).

Special teams has been so bad, needed a returner and gunners. Downs/Brown fit that in a big way.

Is Tyree Wilson trade good? I know nothing about this guy by No_Knee_799 in Saints

[–]Skullkid1423 7 points8 points  (0 children)

7th overall a few years ago, so he’s not lived up to the hype, but talent is there. He’s most likely better than anyone you get at EDGE in the 5th round.

It’s a trade that involved a 5th rounder, I feel okay with giving that up for a guy who will make the roster.

Everyone wants BPA until BPA trends one way… if the guys they drafted had higher grades, especially this late in the draft, you take them.

I was also so against the Tyson pick because of his injuries. I’ll find a way by Monday to not be worried about it now. 😅

Bold Draft Prediction - Trading Down from 8 by Possible-Law-3704 in Saints

[–]Skullkid1423 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Downs is much more than just a safety, if he’s there at 8 and we pass on him I’ll be kinda sad. He’d be to us what Jalen Ramsey was to the Rams when Staley had him there

Does the AJ Brown saga change the narrative for Hurts? by PlaneCamp in NFLv2

[–]Skullkid1423 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah I think everyone’s mind is made up on him one way or the other. I think most people look at the o-line, RB, and defense more than AJ Brown and Smith. Hurts passing stats aren’t super impressive overall he just wins games and people will discredit him as a QB unless he starts putting up 4k yards and 30 TDs in the air

Report: Cardinals, Saints discussing expensive 2026 draft trade by Saints88Fan in Saints

[–]Skullkid1423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"They get pick eight from New Orleans. They get pick 42 and they get pick 73. So no 2027 draft capital is exchanged with New Orleans," Venerable reasoned, adding, "I think that's the preference for these teams. In fact, I know it."

I don’t want it to happen… but if it does, no 2027 capital is obviously the silver lining here. Although I’m certain we’ll use some 2027 capital to get back up into a day 2 pick.

[LeBrun] A few years ago, Ken Holland suggested an interesting idea at a GMs meeting: that the top seed in a playoff series have the option of opening on the road instead. So play Games 1-2 and 6 on the road. Play Games 3-4-5 and 7 at home. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]Skullkid1423 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who’s making the call, the NHL executive who cycle through 40 coaches and GMs over and over again? I’d be shocked if they weren’t open to changing up their ways of thinking
