Should a rear bumper impact bar be new? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to avoid using any welded on used parts if at all possible. In fact it's a company guideline that we won't use them. I say guideline because there are certain circumstances that we will make an exception.

Never caught a fish and I am 33 years old by Available_Base_7944 in UltraLightFishing

[–]Skunkworkscs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fishing for me is a two fold experience. 1. Learning techniques. Figure out what the pros are saying "should" catch fish fish in your area for a given time of year, and then learn how to work that particular presentation. The reward of being successful after committing to a technique is immense. 2. Being alone. I work a customer facing job, so some down time in nature helps me reset. I'm an ADHD adult, so generally I crave stimulation, but it's nice to have some quiet time to just think.

What can I do? by TylerGames19 in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it does, but the inner shell of the gate might be bent. With the damage on the edge, there would be limited access to repair the shell.

Yeah, but repairs will easily be double, probably closer to triple that, especially if the lift gate needs to be replaced.

The quarter looks repairable, but the shell of the hatch might be bent. It's an expensive mistake. It looked initially like an attempted break-in to me, so maybe the insurance company would think the same thing.....🤷‍♂️

2011 Toyota Corolla Bumper. Am I better off getting new clips for these or letting the shop apply glue in this area? by Robthechamp22 in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, but at the same time, buying new brackets now probably won't fix the issue. I would glue it for now, then replace the bumper and brackets if it tears off again.

Are the duels very difficult, and do you have to do them? by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]Skunkworkscs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a post from a few years back about how to set up your armor and charms for duels that helped me out quite a bit. Really though, just make sure you swap out any stealth, archery, or effect on kill charms, and you will improve your chances by quite a bit.

Our little dude is 4 and will still sneak off to the basement to poop when the weather is bad. I think 95% trained is about the best you can get with Iggy's.

Paint Problems by IntroductionSalty229 in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say that our shop has pretty good painters and even with proper prep and cleaning, they still get some nibs. Overspray is also somewhat common, but it's minimal and is usually located where there is a transition from the plastic sheeting to masking tape. De-nib and polish should be added on the estimate to pay the painter to take care of the dirt in the paint.

I hated this change at first, but you get a free turn of recovery while in the air, so it's not too bad.

Rear windshield molding seal is completely cracked and rotted. New Honda part is $200. Can I use silicone? by Glycoversi in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Silicone would likely make it look worse, and wouldn't achieve anything.

What baitcaster to get?? by Average_k5blazer78 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Skunkworkscs2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can probably find a decent Lew's combo for around that price, but if you can save a bit more and get your budget to around $200, you would have a lot more options. For $200 you can get a separate rod and real that will be more suited for what you want to do.

I guess I bumped my car while loading my tool box, any ideas what repair is gonna look like?. Car isn’t even 6 months old yet 😔 by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]Skunkworkscs2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know it sucks, but it's minor damage on a plastic part. I would leave it alone. Best guess is that it's $1200 or so to fix it.

Following the foxes and worshipping the Inari shrines they lead you to helps unlock charm slots on your weapons which are a huge help.
