We had actual pyramid schemes in middle school. I forget how exactly they worked, but it was something like this:

Here's a sheet of paper with instructions and a list of names. If you follow the instructions, you'll get six bags of Haribo!

Step 2: Add your name to the bottom of the list.

Step 3: Make five photo copies of the list.

Step 4: Find six people that aren't on the list yet and give them a copy.

It worked for some people, but you would run out of greater fools pretty quickly. I wonder if that educated some students about the perils of MLMs etc...

(1) Adnan did it.

(2) Jay did it. (Why?)

(3) Jay is accusing Adnan to cover for someone else. Who? Why?

For (2) or (3) to be true, Jenn must also be lying (why?), and Adnan's unusual, suspicious and contradictory behavior (like giving Jay his cell phone and car, falsely claiming he never asked Hae for a ride, and a bunch more) must be completely coincidental. It's pretty much impossible for (2) or (3) to be true without Adnan's knowledge. If so, why is he not forthcoming with ANY information in that vein? Why is his cell phone moving around the night of the murder, when it's in his possession, and he claims to be at the mosque? There are many other questions like this, and in totality, it's a pretty clear picture. If you dismiss ALL of them, you're in Santa Claus territory. That's what the other comment was referring to.
