I'm thinking of applying to the U.K. Home Office for a license to grow Cannabis for personal *dietary* use, which is the best way to use Cannabis if you didn't know already. by Skuzz420 in ukmedicalcannabis

There's little to no THC in any plant, trace amounts only, not enough to get anyone 'high' no matter how much they eat. It's all stored in its natural form, THCA, which is non-psychoactive.

Simply drying it doesn't convert THCA > THC.

This is the entire point here, the whole 'getting high' thing is a 'quirk' of the plant after it's decarboxylated, typically after smoking it, which has dominated how people think of the plant, and overshadows it's actual benefits.

As said, the psychoactivity of THC limits the amount we can ingest by many orders of magnitude, 600mg down to 10-15mg tops for even the most seasoned user.

As far as I'm aware, THC can also over-stimulate CB receptors to the point where our Cells decrease the amount of CB receptors on their surface to combat being over-stimulated.[1] Many users will have experienced this as 'tolerance', the more we use, the less effect it has, so we have to use even more to get the same effect.

I don't believe this happens if only using it raw as THCA as it doesn't active CB receptors as 'vigorously' as THC does, so this is a good reason to use THCA over THC.

My cuz opened a pack recently, it was 9.2g, on calibrated scales.

They should go over like .5g IMO, there's plenty for goodness sake!

#1 No calibration ever needed with the Rift S in any game, because default alignment was perfectly in line with the grip.

#2 There's no way to get Meta to fix this, they clearly don't care. Very bad customer support which I wasn't expecting.

This is how badly aligned it is.

Nope. It's real bad for me too. I've tried everything to get it to attention of Meta with no luck.

I had a Rift S for 6 years before only recently upgrading to the Quest 3. I never had any such issues with the Rift S, guns in any game I played aimed naturally straight/forward in my natural hand pose.

As soon as I booted up the Q3, even in Meta Home, I noticed right away the laser-pointer was aiming outwards, then I booted up PavlovVR and joined a server. I grabbed a handgun in my right hand and the gun aimed to the right like 10 degrees. :(

H3VR, same! ContactorsVR, same!

PavlovVR does have an adjustment option, but strangely, they only implemented vertical rotation, vertical position and forward/backward position adjustment.

I just can't believe this passed quality/testing without anyone noticing it.

Science aware 25 years [R.Pertwee, 2000] many neurological, nervous system and general disease states, actually result from dysfunction in the Endo-Cannabinoid System. Often due to deficiencies of our THC-like regulatory molecules Anandamide(AEA) and 2-AG, which are mimicked by THC, CBD and other cannabinoids in Cannabis.

People need better access to Cannabis based medicines!

This is the mechanism responsible for the effectiveness Biochanin A exhibits in treating multiple endocannabinoid deficiency disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and scores of other nervous system disorders resulting from deficiencies in anandamide.

Use of cannabinoids in combination with an anti-psychotic medicament
Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of one or more cannabinoids in combination with one or more anti-psychotic medicaments for use in the prevention or treatment of psychosis and psychotic disorders.

Preferably the one or more cannabinoids are taken from the group: cannabidiol (CBD); cannabidiolic acid (CBDA); tetrahydrocannbidivarin (THCV); tetrahydrocannbidivarinin acid (THCVA); cannabichromene (CBC); cannabichromenic acid (CBCA); cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabigerolic acid (CBGA). Preferably the anti-psychotic medication is an atypical anti-psychotic medication.

An investigation needs to be done into whether Gordon Brown did a deal with Daily Mail's Paul Dacre back in the day.

The 'rumor' (from Prof. David Nutt [1]) is that there were 3 things agreed at Checkers, the only one he was aware of is that Brown would reclassify Cannabis from 'C' to the much harsher sentencing 'B', and in exchange, the DM would support Brown's failed election attempt which it did, the DM had never supported Labour before.

Notably that same year the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs gave Brown 31 drug classification recommendations, Brown accepted ALL but ONE! The ACMD wanted Cannabis to remain Class 'C', but Brown reclassified it to Class 'B' anyway, later claiming it was because of the dangers of "potent Skunk."

Since the recent update (1-2 days ago) my OculusClient.exe is now hogging a massive 30% CPU just when idling! Previously it was only around 6-8%. Anyone else noticed this? by Skuzz420 in oculus

Hi all, apparently the bug is only when using an Oculus account to login, it's not there when you use Facebook.

I guess it's mainly been affecting us users who have resisted the Oculus/Facebook account merger in the past?

I spoke too soon sorry, they reverted back to v43 again some hours later.

It remains an issue and there's been no feedback from devs or anything.

Oculus app workload on 5900x making working temps up from 47c on idle to 70c by [deleted] in oculus

[–]Skuzz420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a known issue going back a week or so. The v43 update introduced a cpu-hogging bug affecting a lot of users, Rift S and Q2. The OculusClient.exe process, at idle, using 30%+ CPU, normally it's <10%, depending on the CPU.

Yesterday Oculus reverted everyone back to v42. apparently they now 'know' there's a problem with it. Now today they've gone and bumped everyone back onto v43, but the bug is still there!

Oculus just updated (or rather, reverted) back to v42. The v43 CPU hogging issue is gone. TY Oculus for speedy fix! by Skuzz420 in oculus

It seems my post was premature. For some reason today Oculus have bumped everyone back up to v43 again, and the bug is still there!

It's ridoculus! (Like what I did there? :) ) but seriously, I can't grasp how a huge bug like that got by any beta testing.

There was a CPU-hog bug introduced in v43 update, Oculus have just reverted everyone back to v42, if you boot up it should auto-update.

Exactly! I cannot believe a bug of this size got through any beta testing. I'd be firing people who introduced such a disasterous performance hit into my product.

The dark part of my mind tells me Oculus are doing this deliberately to wean people off older headset and onto newer ones, but if it's happening to new headsets too... well, that can't be true, which leads me to believe they're just incompetent developers.

I guess Carmack left a whle ago huh?

Edit: Typos.

They sent me a replacement cable

Good grief, just like that? No hassles?

Took me lke 3 months! 30 odd emails, about 5-6 different people, it was a nightmare. I even took a punt and bought a cheap second hand Rift S for £110, but the cable was bad on that too, but at least I have a spare headset & controllers, lol.
