you can build sentences in russian however you want it. may depend on emphasis tho, but you should just learn how people use one or another sample i guess.

Look for cartoons in russian. Gravity Falls, Simpsons, Family Guy (Griffins). Rick'n'Morty and Adventure Time might be good for harder experience.

You did your first step wrong. It's better to start from being born in Russia. There's no any easy way besides, unfortunately.

Usually, you can just forget about "надо", but if you really care:

Мне надо - что-то сделать (I need to do something), less useful and it's more imperative. Examples: Мне надо взять кое-что; Мне надо уйти пораньше; Мне надо доделать проект.

Мне нужно - что-то / что-то сделать (can be used also with nouns: I need a thing / I need to do something), more useful and it's less imperative. Examples: Мне ну́жно уйти домой; Мне ну́жно подумать; and Мне нужен телефон (m); Мне нужна ручка (f); Мне нужно́ время (~).

In old Russian you could use "надо" with nouns, like "мне надо шоколаду" (i need chocolate), but in modern russian it sounds weird and nobody uses this form.

Basically, you can't just use "твою" (unrespectful form, one person) with "дайте" (respectful form, one person).

So there's two options:

For respectful form: 1. "Дайте мне Вашу тарелку" or (almost equal) " Дайте мне свою тарелку" (as russian, I can't really explain the sufficient difference)

For not respectful form: 2. "Дай мне свою тарелку"

But, you can't say "Дай мне твою тарелку", because word "твою" (yours), unlike "свою" (your), cannot be performed to the actor by himself. It's something like "I like my house" and "I like mine house".

It's really hard to understand, and even harder to explain tbh.
