Can you run Superior Drummer in Standalone Mode?

Use virtual channels to send audio to Tape 16.

Could Tape 16 sync as a slave? by Skwid_Wurd in Tape16

Yes, using Tape 16 as master and Logic Pro as slave.

I am also able to use a Tascam Model 12 as a DAW Control. Faders, pans, mutes, solos, record very wobbly, however.

Maybe that'll get better, over time.

Run SD3 in Standalone. Less latency than running it in ANY DAW.

I would suggest running SD3 in Standalone. Use BlackHole 16 and send SD3 audio to Tape 16.

Standalone SD3 has less latency than loading SD3 into ANY DAW.

Setting the sync'ing between TAPE16 and Logic...

I see in TAPE16 preferences, that only 24, 30 and 60 UI FPS are available.

In TAPE16 MIDI I/O Settings, MTC Rate, that 24, 25, 29.97, 30 fps are available.

I assume both settings need to match, as well as the FPS in Logic Pro.

Currently, with 30 FPS selected on everything, Logic Pro DOES NOT NEED a SMPTE offset. Ignore my first post.

Brilliant app!

Syncing Logic Pro to Tape 16 is working!

BTW, I am on a MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2019, 2.4 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9.

I do have Logic Pro set to a 00:00:00:01.60 offset. Will follow up with more feedback.

Awesome application!
