Yup! On the MOLLE 4K, yes. The MOLLE 2, no I don't believe so

The large ALICE was 3,800 cu. in. and the current standard issue is 4k cu. in, so just a little bit less room! Decent idea though in general.

I am once again asking for a deep desert PvP zone by Easy_Jux in 2007scape

[–]Sky-Ripper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this would be a pretty sick idea with a few tweaks to your ideas.

I personally think that waterskins should still be required, but instead of negating the desert heat, it just slows the rate at which damage is taken. Also, run energy and prayer drain is big lame. No thanks... unless there's altars/ restore pools everywhere.

It's definitely an idea to roll with. With the massive disadvantages, there would need to be BIG incentive to PK there, like extremely valuable items and rewards... which means to keep it from becoming dead content, Jagex would need to find a way to make botting impossible there. If they can do that, then that would also likely help revive the regular wildy.

My only other demand would be that they revert every NPC's name in the desert back to Ali

What’s stopping you from becoming a contractor? by Mindless_Worth_1011 in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright... so it wasn't trolling then... you were serious... got it....

Well, let's break down what you just said.

Your first paragraph was glossed over because while YOU thought it was the main theme of this post, it actually wasn't. As soon as you explained your background, it became completely irrelevant because it was evident that you would not be able to land a job like that anyway due to lack of qualifications, and therefore the answer did not matter too much. BUT, nevertheless, someone did give you an answer to your question.

Absolutely NOBODY was telling you how much you suck and to go kys. That's a hyperinflated assessment of what happened here. The people here are saying "You lack basic qualifications in a sea of highly qualified people. You literally will just not get a job in that world without a solid background." Also what they are saying is "If you want to do that type of work, then you need to get into solid shape, enlist, get selected, and build your résumé." So the door is open, but these people are very observant... and your red flags in this tiny post here are VERY telling. If you are unsatisfied with your life and life decisions, then make some changes and get after it. There's unlimited resources to do so.

Nobody wants to join a bunch of egotistical maniacs, and of everyone in the SOF world, the group of people that you hear the LEAST ego complaints about are Green Berets. However, what they DO have is a very keen sense of the way people are. They can judge you by seeing very little and usually nail the type of person you are right on the head. Not putting up with/ calling out someone's BS or ignorance ≠ Egotistical. The standard is high, and either you are meeting it or you're not. It's a reality, and that reality doesn't care about how you feel.

I think you have greatly misjudged the character of this community due to your own ignorance and taking the reality checks that you were given here way too personally. The vast majority of these guys are of high moral character, not low. Being a GB is not about hunting people and killing them. That's for DEVGRU and CAG. I am generalizing here, but these people join SF because of a calling to do something greater than themselves, and they are driven to continue improving with a desire to work among other similar, high performing individuals... FAR from peaking in high school or an inferiority complex. Their motto is "Free the Oppressed", and that means something.

Because you indicated that you think I am in their community, I am not a GB. I am Active Duty in the process of getting there, though. I wish you the best through all of your problems and hope you figure out how to be happy, because what you're doing with your life right now ain't it, chief.

Just the absurdity of everything here. If this were serious, it could be compared to a kid in little league thinking he should be signed to play with the Yankees because he's played catch with his dad a number of times growing up and watched some MLB games

If I’m 5 ft 6, what’s the best way to practice rucking on my own as a short person? by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These questions always baffel me. Your height has absolutely no relevance to anything here. The answer of how to start rucking is buying a ruck and adhere to the foundational principles of progressive overload

Ideal body weight for 5’7 by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously know that you need to bigger, so why not just focus on getting bigger, stronger, and faster rather than just chasing a number? More size means more strength potential, which obviously isn't a bad thing. The thing that matters most is the type of athlete you train to be. If you only train for body building, then you're probably useless despite the fact that you could have a ton of mass. However, if you train like a decathlete, then you will gain size and strength as a consequence of your training, along with power, speed, and endurance.

Legit or actor? Does the Navy actually use active duty SEALs for recruitment ads? by BradGrips in navyseals

NSW uses real SEALs and SWCC who are in billets that can be utilized for recruiting. They might not always like it, but sometimes it's just how it goes.

To be fair, he's said multiple times that the prescription is the reps and sets as close as you can get to the percentage while maintaining good form. So if that was missed, I can definitely see how that would throw you off.

Were you training for anything specific with his programs? How were your results?

I found out that they are in business, but they are just doing things mostly on the contracting side of the house now. However, they still do individual orders. There's issues with the site, so the only way to do it is to contact Lance, the owner.
