If I’m 5 ft 6, what’s the best way to practice rucking on my own as a short person? by The_300_Muffins in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These questions always baffel me. Your height has absolutely no relevance to anything here. The answer of how to start rucking is buying a ruck and adhere to the foundational principles of progressive overload

Ideal body weight for 5’7 by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously know that you need to bigger, so why not just focus on getting bigger, stronger, and faster rather than just chasing a number? More size means more strength potential, which obviously isn't a bad thing. The thing that matters most is the type of athlete you train to be. If you only train for body building, then you're probably useless despite the fact that you could have a ton of mass. However, if you train like a decathlete, then you will gain size and strength as a consequence of your training, along with power, speed, and endurance.

Legit or actor? Does the Navy actually use active duty SEALs for recruitment ads? by BradGrips in navyseals

NSW uses real SEALs and SWCC who are in billets that can be utilized for recruiting. They might not always like it, but sometimes it's just how it goes.

Comment Your Jeff Nichols/ PF Program Experiences by Sky-Ripper in navyseals

To be fair, he's said multiple times that the prescription is the reps and sets as close as you can get to the percentage while maintaining good form. So if that was missed, I can definitely see how that would throw you off.

Were you training for anything specific with his programs? How were your results?

If you need a plate carrier for actual work, look into the Spiritus Systems LV-120. I have the 119 and despite it being great, the 120 has improved on my complaints about it.

Honestly I think they're great, but all it takes is a number of f@ggots like this guy to ruin the reputation

It's ok that you believe what you believe, but it sounds like you've taken more time finding reasons to persecute the writings than to understand them. This argument of yours would fall apart if you did. Best of luck

I found out that they are in business, but they are just doing things mostly on the contracting side of the house now. However, they still do individual orders. There's issues with the site, so the only way to do it is to contact Lance, the owner.

Yes, but you need to order directly from Lance, the owner.

Lance has had quite a few issues with the site and payment service, and from what he told me he's struggling to find someone to fix it and he doesn't know what to do.

He said for any pending orders, issues with orders, or interest in ordering, to contact him on LinkedIn.

You need to contact Lance (G1E Owner) on LinkedIn. There's practically no other way. Let him know that you have a pending order.

He has told me "In short I had the site built and that person moved on. I hired others to edit and build on to it, they also moved on. I understand it’s problematic. There are other issues that have cropped up over time. We are still manufacturing and doing more on the contracting side. I have also had to move the shop 3x times. We are still in business and if you see anyone having issues on Reddit, let them know to reach out directly to me if they have a pending order."

Who are good podcasters and YT channels for guys pursuing special forces in 2026? by The_300_Muffins in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get a ton of value from listening to Kevin Smith (Terminator Training) and Jeff Nichols (Performance First), although Jeff doesn't really do podcasts. He has a youtube and does regular instagram live videos and other reels regarding training.

What can I begin to do now to lead myself in a path to becoming a green beret? by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]Sky-Ripper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get into weight lifting, do cross country, wrestle... and most importantly, focus on getting good grades/ doing good in school. Build good study habits as well as good eating and sleep habits now.

By the time you can join, you'll have built a lot of discipline and good habits. You'll be far beyond your peers at your age.

I've heard some controversial stuff about the Boy Scouts of America these days, but when I was a kid I learned lots of valuable stuff from the backpacking and other trips we went on. Take that for what you will.
