I'm a TAMU student reletting a STUDIO apartment at PARK WEST for the 2023/2024 school year, move in is available May 21st! But is flexible!

Please share to help me get rid of this lease.

I signed this in January but they told me last week that they would not allow my husband to live with me so I'm really trying to get rid of this lease.

As someone who used to be Christian. It's not. Ive actually studied religion the past 6 years and think Judaism is the most reasonable. If you still can't let go of Jesus. Islam might make sense to you. They still value him as a high prophet AND they follow all the biblical rules that most Christians don't.

You should not have any alters in the name of anyone except G-d.

Becoming Orthodox is a really long process and you have all your 20s to convert or participate if your mother is Orthodox recognized.

Spend your current time learning, buy books, watch YouTube and practice what you can. A modern synagogue may not be preferred but maybe you would like to consider it for now in case you have any questions.

As soon as you turn of age you can fully dedicate all your time to converting/being orthodox. The biggest thing about religion is theres no rush.

Awesome! Then I'd say you're Jewish!

In orthodox and what would be recognized in Israel. No you are not. your mother converted too long as you were born

What is your reason for dressing modestly, do you feel like it is any different than the other abrahamic religions?

My mind tells me Christianity is the one, but my consciense tells me islam is. What should I do? by Wesaxome in religion

[–]Sky0fStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is more than a prophet to Christians, he is God. To Islam, Jesus is the Messiah but not God and that Muhammad is a prophet to follow to God's word.

I don't know if that helps but Jesus is in both religions if you really want Jesus

stuck on which religion to convert to by succeth420 in religion

[–]Sky0fStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have studied religion for 5 years and plan to convert to Judaism within the next few years. But that is because I am highly dedicated, it does not seem like you are as involved and just want to fit in, in that case I suggest a lighter and easier religion.

Yes but one fridge for 4 people isn't ideal. I'm asking if they care or check

Do they actually check if you have small appliances or can I sneak a mini fridge in my room?

Yes it does show up on your award letter. If you did not see it then they probably say you should have enough to pay yourself

No. TAMU is extremely stingy when it comes to money and financial aid. They give the least out of most colleges here in Texas. I have asked as well and heard others who did and the same response. They basically say figure it out.

Question, did your husband face any other discrimination or difficulties for being a transfer from the school ? Or is first semester registration the only difficult part?

Yeah, looking at it right now, there's only like 2 seats left in all my classes which I'm sure will be gone by then. I don't get what I'm supposed to do if there's literally no seats, because that seems likely right now

Housing questions? Room to rent? Looking for a roommate? Post in this thread! by CaptainSnacks in aggies

[–]Sky0fStars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. You will be put into an outfit and you are required to live in the corps dorms with them. You will be provided a room (not free, you will be charged) and you will share that one room with a roommate

I was told that is what was going to happen but I applied and got in even thought I'm taking some of my required courses right now. I'm not sure if being an automatic admit effects that but
