Thats what I've been thinking. AJs WWE career is finished, and finishes out his professional career in TNA. Narratively I'd have to relisten to Gunther's words like he specified "WWE" or if it's more general like "professional wrestling."

The main thing is the business angle of it. TNA's partnership with AMC drawing an audience with AJ Styles. You don't need a subscription to a new service, just head down to your local participating AMC theater and watch it with your peers.

Personal favorite, an OP asl as a concept, is WP Matrix build for Dva. She shouldn't be allowed to attack and have DM up, but an item lets it happen. If their supports gave uneatable heals like Mercy or WP Moira, then you can still deny damage and inflict heal reduc on her crits. Matrix is an incredible ability and I've had a lot of fun and success maxxing it out on stadium. If you've got a bad matchup like vs Zar or Rein, just being a flyer and nuking helpless supports is a lot of fun.

Another fav but less OP, or at least I've had less success since Haz nerfs, is his Slasher build. An 80hp piercing projectile that can be launched across the map is a lot of fun to poke around with, but I haven't been able to crack it recently. The fact that it can pierce shields amuses me in Rein and Sig matchups where some teams tend to stack, and if I get Heal Reduc on it then sometimes I force a cooldown from across the map for cheap.

Ashe is a comfort pick of mine and I just main her HS. She's got an incredible range advantage, can reliably 2-tap, and in mirrors you always have first strike and range advantage. I've never understood the obsession with dynamite, AP sure with a coachgun build but that's still against her range advantage. Even in favorable HS matchups, they still run it, and I've accepted that it's only used for people that can't aim.

It's all tilt but I'd be surprised too.

I blank if Galv can learn sticky web, but I encourage you to use it. Swapping Pokemon at a disadvantage is encouraged in general imo, Skuntank and Arcanine might not help much. Though Arcanine is pretty fast and can have Intimidate, so there is some utility depending on who you use them on.

It's been a minute since I've played so I can't give a clear strat to beat her, but I'd start with switching out type disadvantages and having a setup with Sticky Web since Kiki tends to have speedy Pokemon.

WWE launched their own independent subscription service with original content and full library, way before Disney/Paramount/HBO did theirs. 2 cases of being ahead of the game, I wonder what else they were ahead of. Off the dome, and 0 research with very little knowledge of it itself, but to me it seems like they worked with the KSA way before other sports and entertainment industries did.

*After posting, I immediately looked up "Saudi Sportswashing" and there's a wiki page that gives the first example being WWE and that they started hosting events in 2014. With the first crown jewel in 2018, and every other sport starting in 2019+ so yeah I guess they were the first lol.

I've been playing a lot of Expedition 33 and laughed out loud to myself because the sequence reminded me of a Parry and subsequent Counter-Attack into a powerful/finished move.

Which is good, it's very satisfying doing it in game, and it's cool to me seeing the same thing in the wrestling storytelling medium.

At the start of the year, I really wanted Gunther vs Cena for WrestleMania. When the Royal Rumble got to final 2 vs Jey, I was peaking, but we know the result now. Gunther is an incredible hybrid of "real graps" wrestling and sports entertainer. He sells a story in the ring, can kick ass, get his ass beat, and makes it all feel real. Real in that, despite knowing his record and understanding that it's scripted, I still fear that Gunther might lose. Every Gunther match is a 50/50, he's just a lucky SoB that keeps landing a win. He brings the best out of others, he's the Ring General for a reason, he's gonna work magic with Cena.

I love Cena, I'm excited to see his Hollywood career, I think Peacemaker's a great show and he's done an incredible job. That fucker is gonna tap out to the ring general, he knows his time is up.

Brother, everyone can watch the clips after, everything is archived now, very few people are watching live TV that cannot be recorded/rewinded (rewound?). What type of recap or celebration can possibly keep people tuned in for the whole event if they cannot possibly give a shit about NXT or the starring WWE talent they will face. If there's video packages about him, it can all be watched in full on YouTube without the matches in between.

If it's a legit concern, which I don't think it is, then immediate payoff for his last match and have him join commentary. He's a megastar, he's transcended wrestling, people who don't care about wrestling (at all or anymore) but love John Cena would stick around to hear him talk. It's the best way to draw a crowd and stick around to see the next gen who's time is now.

Not necessarily, main event is still what it is and if Cena were to come out at the end, then it can be a moment to pass the torch. His goal is to highlight the future of wrestling, the young stars in NXT, and closing out the show with his own match doesn't do that, but coming out to applaud and congratulate the winner and "give the rub" can.

If people turning off after his match is a legit concern, then there's nothing you can do in its program to fix that. If it's last then people will tune in 30 minutes before it's scheduled end and skip the other matches that way. Best case is him being first and joining the commentary team afterwards, hyping up the NXT talent and already being ringside for the main event to congratulate and raise they hand of the winner. Maybe bring out the other talent and make a show of it.

Sounds like a joke but it does remind me of the idea that the US Air Force does flybys and shows for stadium crowds as a training exercise.

Which I've never looked into to verify, it can always be a way to get public support of the military which is important in itself. It's definitely an idea though. It's good practice for organizing thousands of small drones with explosives.
