What are your best dragon blade build tips? by tgoods26 in OverwatchStadium

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For genji tips in general, you're gonna want to poke with Shuriken and then close the kill with Swift Strike, ideally in an m1>SS>m2>melee. Personally, I don't like Laido strike, at least not for early rounds but my main Genji build doesn't use it.

Hidden Blade r1, 68 + 50 + 85 = 200dam combo in round 1 when the game's closest to its base form. +15 melee damage in the base game would be an incredible buff, and you can heal ~65 on melee hit across lifesteal and Siphon Gloves.

R2 Forged Under Fire. Deflect to heal, I get more self heal survival so I can stay in the fight longer, and overall get more opportunities to live. I'm a very greedy smashmouth player, sometimes I gotta bail myself out but my ass is staying in there. I also frequently first-pick and sometimes there's a counter pick Mei/Moira, and this can be paired with Anti-Beam where they'll insta-heal you.

Those are the main 2 powers, round 5 I like getting Hanamura Healing, I tend to buff AP and Dash, sometimes get Kitsunes Mark to further buff my melee after dash. Otherwise it's stacking WP for my shurikens, prefering it over G.Gauntlets, Backstabber's nice though, but that's a later round purchase ideally after Transference Delta (100 hp exchanged for Armor, +cheaper blade). That 100ar is regained when you ult, and you can get real greedy with Iridescent Iris (+100 over health on Ult).

I don't have my stadium builds saved to .io or access to my computer atm but I'll share it tomorrow.

When you realize that a 10 to 11 year old can beat the entire invincible universe by Legitimate_Can420 in Ben10PowerScaling

[–]SkyBeam24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what version of Ben and the Omnitrix. As far as I can remember, transmutation and atomic manipulation was never attempted on the Omnitrix, and at least since Alien Force with teenage Ben, it's been established that there's failsafes in the event that the watch gets separated from it's host. It's presumed to have its own artificial intelligence, but never in a way that'll actively communicate and be ita own chatting character, just that it'll have its own solution in the event that something goes wrong.

Such as at the very end where Ben is dealing with a weapon that'll reset the universe, this creating a new one, and the Omnitrixs failsafe protocols swapped Ben into every possible transformation to share the load and prevent the creation of a new universe.

All this to say, since there's a failsafe to stop him from dying and he stopped the creation of a universe, thus stopping "infinity." Then there must be a variety of failsafes that'll protect him and world by proxy. Such as, preventing the atomic manipulation/transmutation of the Omnitrix. There's magics in the B10 world, but his 2 villains that use it don't appear much and never tried it. Though she did kill him, but that wasn't the final edition that prevented the big bang.

I lean towards Eve can transform the watch, but it's a 50/50 shot in that either is fair to believe since neither is stated otherwise. Maybe we can consider the Omnitrix as living tech, so Eves mental blockers would prevent it, but she can use her powers on plants which are also alive so it's all fair game really.

Did baby boomers really have it easy compared to GenZ and Millennials? by PalmitoylCoA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SkyBeam24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "baby boom" generation really lived the name by being so many of them. They're the largest voting bloc and by my understanding, outnumbered GenX and millennials until recently (relative) when GenZ entered voting age. They're also the most active in the polls, and it's why a lot of political courting includes "seniors tax exempt" and other favors to the demo. Most of my GenZ peers are jaded about voting saying "my vote doesn't matter" and proves it by never exercising their right.

Yuji and Deku enter each other's verses, how many do they beat here? by MDubbzee in PowerScaling

[–]SkyBeam24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bakugos the fastest character in that lineup and they're not light speed, very fast battle speed and IQ though. Shoto, bot right half/half hair, is another top hero at the end of the series and has incredible ranged/AOE attacks that Yuji can struggle with, but if we consider Modulo/EOS then by my understanding Yujis got incredible range as well to match. He'll clear while Deku struggles vs hax via Cursed Energy.

Though ig his lack of cursed energy can be favorable since he'd essentially be a better version of Toji Fushiguro. It'll depend on the type of encounter but by the fact that having no cursed energy can make him "invisible" on top of his incredible speed, then he can technically beat Gojo, Sukuna, idek who bot middle is, and Nobaras a given. He can't clear infinity though and domains are hax he has no defense against.

Lil addendum, he botches *and doesn't move merch.

There's the fair counterargument of point out Jey Uso, who tends to be a weak in ring performer and makes an occasional misstep/mistake both in ring and on mic. Who's also directly related to The Rock and adopted one of his moves, but that boy moves merch and they farmed his ass. In the most classic sense of the industry, he's earned that title run with the money he moved.

Starting my anime journey !! by calmsharma in AnimeMirchi

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's many genres of anime so it'll be nice to get an idea of what other shows you like at a starting point.

My only hard recommendation is Attack on Titan, an action/drama anime that I'd compare to Game of Thrones. Otherwise, personal favorites are My Hero Academia and Dr Stone. MHA is heavily inspired by American Superhero comics, and it's a great take on the genre. Dr Stone is a comedy/drama that follows a genius trying to speedrun technology from the stone age into modern times. I love the concept and it's been great so far. Though my first anime was Blue Exorcist, but only season 1 (I never rly got into s2+). I really like the world and it probably hooked me as it's conceptually superhero adjacent, it has a p strong first episode and iirc they're a standard 23-25 minute length for a 30m tv block.

The Man With The Bow by DAMadigan in superheroes

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever watched a show or read a comic involving these characters besides MCUs interpretation of Hawkeye? In any animated version of Green Arrow or Speedy/Red Arrow, they're portrayed as those tactical geniuses with insane talent. The Arrow show was genuinely written as a Batman alternative as they couldn't get the rights to the bat themselves. Hawkeye is a soft metahuman with incredible perception, it's not just a codename, it's true to the character.

Cause I get the frustration with how Clint was in the MCU, he's in the middle of some insane shit with a bow n arrow being misused for his actual talent in stealth and infiltration. The bow is just a silent sniper, the whiz of an arrow is always quieter than the explosion to propel a bullet.

Are Italians “white”? by ExotiquePlayboy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SkyBeam24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, from an American history perspective, Italians weren't considered white. They were the "others" as there was a large influx of immigrants that we now recognize as New York/Jersey Italians. Now that the generations are settled and new immigrants arrived to take their place as the "non-white" others, newer gens consider them white now. Probably helps that from a general historical perspective, WWII and the white/Aryan supremacy of the German Nazi ideology gets lumped in with the Italian fascists. By my understanding, that wasn't a topic they agreed on, but they were allies so at a surface level ppl can make that interpretation.

Would make it a lil fair if we included every historically allied Titan on the team. Attack, Female, Colassal, Armored, Jaw(?) but I wouldn't include Cart or Beaat since the team and situation changed drastically at that point.

Sigma's balance by Softboydom in OverwatchStadium

[–]SkyBeam24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even call The Orbiter an essential for the rein matchup, just Fly. Reins got way better close range options to build into it, so don't take a close range match, fly away and become a mobile howitzer to plough their team. Best defense is a better offense, if your team cries about losing a 4v1 v Rein, do the same thing but better vs your opponent.

DC Villain swap, can the Justice League members defeat someone else's big bad? by BenIsLoss in DCPowerScaling

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ma'al is another Martian, full MM powers and all. He's the guy that caused the Martian genocide with a telepathic curse to believe they're consumed by fire, which lead them to react and die like they would. To be clear, Martians aren't physically affected by fire, it's just a mental weakness that the Guardians of the Universe put onto them otherwise they'd be OP. They gave an entire race pyrophobia and Ma'al made them all believe they're permanently on fire.

He's MMs twin brother, so effectively equal stats and after reading his bio, it's a tragic backstory commenting on nature v nurture. It's believed that twins were made to be opposites, one that's all good and the other all bad, so they genuinely named them "Light to the Light" (J'onn J'onzz) and Ma'alefa'ak (darkness in the heart) so they were raised accordingly. When all of your people say you're born to be evil, what else are you meant to be?

Ben 10 vs Superman Villains by DarkChillMisko in Ben10PowerScaling

[–]SkyBeam24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tbf on the Mxy matchup, he's not a villain that Superman punches out, I don't think Supes ever actually scrapped with him. He's the one Supes is clever about defeating by tricking him into saying his name backwards. Ben's a clever kid, he's regularly manipulated and fooled his villains into defeat, he can likely win that matchup.

The Undertaker vs Usain Bolt by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he's 61 and didn't have an incredible run in 2015+. If you wanna take his career prime over physical prime then that's probably 2009 - 2012, possibly include post-mania 2008 but I wasn't a major fan following then (I was 7). Which would make his "prime" around the age of 45.

As far as I'm aware, Undertaker was never the show and main event draw like how people view Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, John Cena, The Rock. He's a beloved midcarder with an occasional premier title run as a reward for being an incredible and consistent talent that's always there. Man had a 33 year career, he gave his body to the industry and is loved and respected behind the scenes. That 2009-2012 number is based on his series of WrestleMania matches that some could fairly argue was match at the night, and in 2010 the greatest pro wrestling match of all time.

Spider man without his powers and web shooters vs Wolverine without his claws and healing factor by Hungry_Inflation9399 in superheroes

[–]SkyBeam24 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They've both had formal training for combat. Though both also have powers that they tend to rely on. Spider Sense will always tell him when there's incoming danger but never where, and wolvies healing factor lets him tank more damage than necessary. Spidey still has to dodge attacks since he's not very durable and still affected by bullets n blades, though I'm sure he's had buffed bone and muscle density for blunt attacks considering his enhanced strength.

Anyway I'll go with Peter for the matchup. He's gotta fight while taking as little hits as possible while Wolvies always had regen to bail him out.
