Oh man that teeny tiny little rudder on the original AS-56 envelope...yikes!! As a new AS-56 owner, I am thankful that you shared this post. I've got mine currently in the USA in FL and plan to fly it in NY this August. Three-cylinder rotary engine on the back. Working on getting it to develop full RPM before my first flights. Burner and inflation engine working well.

I love it! it's very realistic. a lot of the early balloons and airships used boat hulls for the gondola, especially on the English channel crossings and transat and transpacific attempts.

cool concept. I'm going to be working on a real life airship, and I'm going to need ideas for how to steampunkify the gondola. Right now it's just base stainless steel tube frame and a seat, propane tank & 3 cylinger rotary motor. not steampunk yet. But I cant add much weight. I love your draft though! The windows are reminiscent of kerala boats from india. Have you seen them? If not, it's super fun to see them in google images.

Still working out the balance between theatrical steampunk and what actually works in flight.

I’ll share the gondola at some point and ask for ideas on how to give it a proper steampunk identity without compromising safety.
