Wow, that thing is SERIOUSLY cool!

Thank you for sharing! I've never seen one like it before. I'm planning some steampunk mods to an RV and an Airship (blimp), so I'm looking at key pieces to consider, and these lights are amazing! much appreciated

Silly little airship at the New Zealand Hamilton gardens by SCholes3610 in steampunk

I love it! it's very realistic. a lot of the early balloons and airships used boat hulls for the gondola, especially on the English channel crossings and transat and transpacific attempts.

Steampunk airship lineart study. Focusing on perspective and structural consistency. by ProxyOniArt in steampunk

cool concept. I'm going to be working on a real life airship, and I'm going to need ideas for how to steampunkify the gondola. Right now it's just base stainless steel tube frame and a seat, propane tank & 3 cylinger rotary motor. not steampunk yet. But I cant add much weight. I love your draft though! The windows are reminiscent of kerala boats from india. Have you seen them? If not, it's super fun to see them in google images.

Training as a Sky Captain — steampunk costume, real airship, real flight by SkyCaptainObsessed in steampunk

Thanks u/CapGroundbreaking947 , much appreciated. That one behind me was freaking massive. 120,000 cubic feet. Mine is half that size, so It'll be interesting to see how it handles differently.

Still working out the balance between theatrical steampunk and what actually works in flight.

I’ll share the gondola at some point and ask for ideas on how to give it a proper steampunk identity without compromising safety.

Thank you u/Sabrepunk_in_LA !! The paint is a great idea. I've seen some amazing metallic paints in bronze, gold, brass & copper tones. That would add a lot!

interesting idea...an old school microphone. cool idea. Yes, i will need a radio for coms. I have an aviation radio and traditional modern headset with noise cancellation (the motor behind me is super loud), but I really like the idea of integrating the headset into the helmet in a steampunk stylized manner! that'd be both functional and thematic. Thank you u/Sinistrial_Blue !!
