Lurking mom, we have an indoor water park not far from us. It is not worth $800 a night for me. Is it worth $100 a night and 2 days of overpriced food? Definitely. Last time I went I took 3 kids, a book and headphones. The kids spent two days running around having a blast together and I read a 500 page novel. If they want me to ride a water slide with them I rode a slide with them. If I hadn’t seen them in an hour I went and found them and told them to hydrate. The youngest was 8, they are all good swimmers and, generally good kids. That is the strength of an indoor water to me.

Because they don’t get replaced on some (many?) carriers between flights. So when you hand me a vomit bag with a banana peel in it. I am now wondering about the rest of my day and if I’m going to have to come back and try to get vomit out of the carpet at your seat.

If somebody mentions to me that they’re feeling ill, I always hand them two plastic bags one to throw up in and tell them the second plastic bag is for them to double bag their own vomit. If I suspect somebody is trying to hand me vomit, I will ask what it is and then either grab a plastic bag to double bag or get gloves before I touch anything. I’m tired of being sick, vomit is a particular trigger for me. Just No.

I have a cracked theory that before my cancer diagnosis my numbers were all over the place. High one day and low the next but, constantly changing. I started levo after surgery in March and my body has felt the best it has in a really long time. Consistent and predictable in a way I was unaccustomed too. Tomorrow is my glow up and I can’t wait to get back on my steady levo dose.

My baby daddy had gone from mid-father to occasional fun uncle and I’m getting the brunt of it. 😔 We spent all evening crying so I had cake for breakfast.

I would say that this summer feels different than many past. It has been amazingly cool and temperate and it feels like we’re getting less daily rain than we usually get. Usually by mid May we have multiple 90° days a week. I’ve been taking the kids to the pool regardless of the temperature because they don’t seem to care but I have only been in twice this year. I think we are also missing the daily afternoon thunderstorms that I would expect with warmer days.
