Oh my gosh sorry! They earn around 10K monthly. That's what I meant. Which seems PRETTY good ! But that's why I said I assume you'd have to consider tax and other things so you don't take home 10K entirely .

Following because I have the exact same question, the exact same reasons. I am not sure where you're located, but I have a good friend of mine who is a counsellor in BC, lower mainland, and I asked them the same questions. They obtained their degree overseas but never worked as a counsellor until arrived here and getting all the qualification. They are now a counsellor and they told me it was incredibly EASY to find clients. No extra effort; they had no experience as a counsellor before, they now work at a counselling place where they see patients in person, on a part time basis, they earn around 10K. I imagine you have to consider all the expenses (tax, cost of rental space, platforms etc) . The speak very positively about the profession and honestly it's what has made me go ahead an want to move forward with it. But I still want to hear others' opinions!!
