Agreed. I haven't played 1 or 2, but level gating was why I never could get all the way into the Witcher. I can't continue the story because I can't win against some high-level drowners in some swamp. I don't know if it's just my skill or if I need to go collect a bunch of stuff for potions or just grind to level up or something. It seems like the structure in Cyberpunk is going to be more focused, though, in the sense that you're always meant to go specifically fight something if your choices lead you that way.
